Most of us here are so busy with our lives- work, friends, me time, partner that without even wanting to do it we keep our family at the back of everything. But it is around festival times, that our family, especially our parents and siblings, not only crave our attention but also our support.
Yes, you are super busy, and the little time you get is reserved for yourself, but don’t your Mom and Dad deserve some of your time?
So how can you fight those urges to be doing this or that and be more present with your family??
When you switch off from work and enter your home, let go of the day’s distractions. Make a conscious decision to put anything you have on mind until later.?
This way you will have more control over your intentions, moods and behaviours.?
When you are around them, just be there
-Keep your phone away for the time being you are with them
-Give importance to their choice
-Talk to them about their favourite memories

Take them out for a coffee or treat them to a salon day. If they aren’t comfortable stepping out so order in or just create an atmosphere where everyone in your family is made to feel special by you, even just for a day.
It’s more than just saying thank you. It’s showing them that you do care and letting them know that even though you are occupied, you truly appreciate them for being your support.
