Ferwell of the Soverign

Ferwell of the Soverign

The spirit of old Albion, the empire that the sun never set over, was present at impeccable funeral proceedings, watched by 4 billion people, saying goodbye to the British Sovereign. Watching the Royal family I briefly connected that a mother, grandmother, and grand grandmother were being said goodbye to, but overall the whole production never allowed me to shake the feeling that it is not a person being farewelled, but something more, an essence of a nation.

Being just a big historical enthusiast of the British Empire, I visually felt the centuries of struggle and breakthrough of once sidelines mediocre European power to the most powerful nation on Earth. The spirits of the great man of England, of the likes of Churchills, Joseph Chamberlain, David Lloyd Georges, General Montgomery, Eyre Crowe accompany Queen Elizabeth the Second, Queen by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and of Her other Realms and Territories Queen, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith, and Sovereign of the Most Noble Order of the Garter. The traditionalism outshined the best Hollywood movies, with an impeccable, stoic, and imperial presentation, which I am sure Admiral Horatio Nelson would not be ashamed off if he understood what his words, "England expects that every man will do his duty." at Trafalgar did.

One thing needs to be said for sure, the horror of pragmatism of conquering the world is a terrifying legacy of the British Empire, and many are trying to voice that up, yet it was a civilization that drive the world into an industrialization frenzy and push the world forward, not so distinctly different from the ancient empires of Rome, Egypt, Myceanians, Macedonians and so on. The empire's legacy, except for hundreds of millions of deaths, is a collection of knowledge and organization of it into cohesive information understood by all. Information like this wasn't collected in the Western Civilizations since the Alexandria Great Library, which producer geniuses like Darwin with the theory of Evolution, Issac Newton, and the law of gravity, or Adam Smith and creation of economics that influenced liberal economic models around the world, characterized by open markets, and relatively barrier-free domestic and international trade.

The Imperial Federation is an interesting concept I really recommend learning about to understand more of what Queen Elizabeth II inherited after her father, and which route the Great Britain wants to come back to.

The Queen is dead, long live the King.

With the funeral proceedings finished, we are waiting for the coronation of King Charles III, which hopefully can bring a new vision to the United Kingdom, Commonwealth, and its position in the world. The empire lost its value, now being replaced by India as the 6th nation measured by GDP, but it is still one of the biggest economies in the world, with a commonwealth population reaching 2.5 billion people. With wealth stored in its multinational companies, and relations in a commonwealth market, which is worth more than $13 trillion according to 2020 research, the UK could work towards creating its own multipolar stake, in the ongoing challenge of Pax Americana and the post-World War 2 rules-based order system, where Russia and China are envisioning their own stakes.

Is King Charles the person who can inspire a rebirth of UK centered system? Maybe, surely he can set the stage, and invigorate the nation that is battered by high energy prices and incoming recession and even depression. According to Bloomberg, 60% of manufacturing companies in the UK face defaults/bankruptcies due to energy prices while 10% inflation is ravaging its economy and population. The new PM Truss has a mixed filling by experts, while the nation is facing one of the large economic disasters, so the newly crowned King Charles could step in with a vision to lead Great Britain.

The questions arise:

  • will we see Churchillian or David Lloyd Georges's spirits arising with the new King?
  • will he help the nation to find the right person who can lead Albion to its restructurization?and establish its place as one of the most important supply chain network-based systems?
  • will he be able to bring back faith in the UK to its population and share a vision of where the nation can go?

All shall be seen with first Kings Speech to the nation, common wealth, and the world.
