Fenton qualifies for 2023 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships in Glasgow, Scotland this August

Remember last year’s win by Fenton as Defending Champion in Cat at the UCI Gran Fondo in Dubai? Well Sunday the 19th of February held the 2023 edition and event hosting the Spinneys 92 Dubai Cycle Challenge Championships among others.

Fenton, who had a crash last week during a race in Accra breaking a couple of ribs, still took part in the 92 KM race and based on the final results, finished in the top 20% of his age category. This qualifies Fenton to participate in the 2023 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships in Glasgow, Scotland this August.

The 2023 Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge filled the streets of Dubai over the weekend, culminating in exciting cycling, family fun, and an incredible atmosphere at Dubai International Stadium, with over 2,200 cyclists signing up to take part in the 13th edition, held in partnership with Dubai Sports Council.

Cyclists Team FCG Cycling Club,Ghana, staff at FC Group as well as family and friends are all astounded with Fenton’s achievement and great courage, given that Fenton is still healing from last week’s unfortunate incident!
