Welcome to March!
Happy New Month!
March is here, bringing fresh possibilities and renewed energy.
March holds a special meaning, it’s Women’s History Month, a time to honor the resilience, innovation, and leadership of women breaking barriers in every industry.
This month, we’re not just celebrating, we’re taking action, building, and shaping the future.
Whether you're launching something new, refining your strategy, or simply finding your rhythm, remember: progress, no matter how small, is still progress.
Funding opportunity
Women TechEU is an EU-funded initiative designed to support and empower women-led deep tech startups across Europe. Over two years, the programme will launch four calls for applications and award 160 startups with financial support and business development resources.
Selected startups will receive €75,000 in funding along with access to a tailored business development programme.
How female founders can overcome challenges faced when fundraising
40 female founders from 25 different countries share their views for other female founders and entrepreneurs embarking on fundraising.
Many of the women founders shared that they had encountered sexism in one form or another during the fundraising process. For those who hadn’t experienced it directly, they had heard of other women who had. Their advice was to have a clear plan in place for how to handle these situations when they arise.
In terms of fundraising, the founders recommended doing thorough research on the diversity and type of investors you approach, making sure they align with your values. They also suggested trusting your gut and intuition to determine if an investor relationship feels right for you and your business. If it doesn’t, don’t be afraid to walk away.
One founder even described female intuition as a “superpower,” giving women an edge in making the right choices.
