The Female Advantage: 3 Reasons Why Women in Leadership is Essential

Most companies do not realize why women in leadership is essential. Some companies totally miss the mark and also miss on the profits when you do not have women in leadership positions.

As someone who has constantly worked with women I can tell you this...

WOMEN ARE TRULY AMAZING!

And I mean that. When women realize their worth and capabilities, they can literally move mountains and create so much change for the good. Women have the power but lack the confidence. This is why confidence is so important in a woman's journey. (And why I wrote my book with Wiley , The Tao of Self-Confidence )

Sometimes, women have all the confidence in the world and yet companies may not have the confidence in women. This is why it's important to bridge the two and see the win-win situations when you have more women in leadership.

Here are 3 reasons why having more women in leadership roles is essential for every industry.

Reason #1 - Women have the right values to become a great leader

A study from Pew Research Center demonstrated that women are superior to men when it comes to being political leaders. Women are more honest, compassionate and intelligent based on the survey. The study shows that women are better or equal to men on 7 out of 8 primary leadership skills.

The same study also demonstrated that women in the public office are better at:

  • working out compromises
  • keeping government honest
  • dealing with social issues

Reason #2 - Having more women in leadership leads to better production

Having more women in leadership also benefits the company. A recent study from Zippia mentioned that companies with women executives outperform other companies by 30%.

That is a pretty big number when you think about it. If you can have 30% more production, it can also lead to 30% or more increase on profit which is a win-win situation for everyone in the company.

Reason #3 - Companies are more profitable when you have more women in leadership roles

When companies invest in women, they become more profitable. A study by Frank Recruitment Group mentioned that even though there is a small number of women CEOs in Fortune 500 companies, 87% of the top 500 companies in 2021 led by a female decision-maker reported above-average profits, compared to just 78% of companies without a female CEO.

The richest woman in India is Savitri Jindal . She took over her late husband's business and was able to triple her net worth in 2022 from$4.8 billion to $17.7 billion. She was also named the richest woman in Asia in 2022 as well.

Savitri is proof that when you have a women CEO, the company can be very profitable. If she was able to triple her net worth in such a short time, imagine how many more job she created, how much money she made for the company and how she is able to help increase the economy for India.

I hope seeing this helps you realize how important it is to have more women in leadership. Not only does it help women have more confidence in themselves, but it also helps companies make more money and have better company culture.

By knowing the facts, companies are willing to hire more women in leadership and close the gap. When you have the right tools and resources to develop more women in leaders in your company, you will benefit from it 100 times over and more.
