Feeling Worthy of Success and Happiness
There’s an enormous amount of material available today in online courses and books that claim to offer the secrets to material success. But, we should ask ourselves a question here: if there really is such a thing as a simple blueprint for success, then why are so many people struggling?
Have you ever wondered why success and its rich rewards seem to be so elusive? Does it ever seem strange to you that, despite all your efforts and your hard work, your daily actions and dedication fail to carry you all the way to your goals? What could possibly be stopping you from fulfilling your dreams? What is preventing you right now from attaining your heart’s desire?
The answer might surprise you. It might also be hidden in plain sight - and that’s why it might have escaped your attention.
If you think dealing with issues like worthiness and authenticity and vulnerability are not worthwhile because there are more pressing issues, like the bottom line or attendance or standardised test scores, you are sadly, sadly mistaken. It underpins everything.

There are thousands of books that claim to offer the secrets of success and there are countless courses that describe how to become a multi-millionaire. Clearly, this vast amount of knowledge and guidance should’ve produced a truly staggering number of super-successful individuals. But this rarely happens. Otherwise, we’d rely on the one proven ‘Master Text’ that delivers everything we could ever need to know about the principles and mechanics of success.
In view of the number of people who are still struggling every day to achieve their goals and fulfil their potential, there must be something missing. And it must be something significant.
The answer isn’t obvious because it’s usually concealed within the foundations of our unconscious belief systems. And these are largely hidden from view. These deep-seated attitudes, the subconscious architecture that frames most of our thoughts and feelings, are responsible for shaping how we perceive ourselves and the world around us. And, if we harbour any doubts or fears about our worthiness in any theatre of endeavour, these negative influences will emerge and sabotage our best efforts to succeed. It really is as simple as that.

The key to ensuring that all those courses and guides to success can make a meaningful contribution to your quest for success is to take a moment to examine your attitudes.
If you come from a family that was uncomfortable with money, a family that always seemed to be struggling, a family that sowed the seeds of mistrust in any matters relating to finance – it’s pretty obvious that you might’ve inherited all kinds of disabling beliefs. This underlying foundation is incredibly disabling. You can see this with individuals who expect financial setbacks to sabotage their efforts. It’s as if the setbacks are anticipated and almost welcomed as proof that life is always unfair and difficult – just like they always believed. It’s amazing how life lives up – or down – to our most fundamental expectations.
Fractured or unstable family relationships are another example of unbalanced conditions that can sow the seeds of discord and influence the quality of any future partnerships. Love founders on the rocks of destructive behaviour.? There’s a cynical expectation that true love simply does not exist. So, relationships are tested to destruction point until – as expected – they fracture under the pressure. The blighted relations of our early family experiences can cast a long and enduring shadow over our future happiness.

In the face of these conditioned behaviours, the answer to this perplexing problem is to change the programming and break free from all thoughts of unworthiness. In reality, there is no other moment than the present for you to launch your campaign for a happier and more fulfilling life. This then is the perfect moment for you to assert a new set of beliefs that will resonate powerfully throughout the depths of your emotional foundations. This is not a mental exercise. This method requires the emotional momentum that can powerfully re-shape your attitudes and your outlooks.
You can begin each day by reciting some simple phrases: “Who I am is enough.” “I absolutely deserve all the happiness and success my heart can hold.” “I feel completely ready to accept all the success I’ve ever dreamed of.”
Whatever phrases you choose, they are entirely at your discretion and should only be expressed using positive language and always in the present tense. Allow yourself to feel the excitement that your positive statements generate. Let the emotional energy build up until you really start to believe. That might take at least ten to twenty repetitions but the effects will begin to show up in your life. You’ll start to notice changes, opportunities and new possibilities. Why? Because you’ve shifted your attitude towards the positive end of the spectrum – and this is a place where you’re learning to feel very comfortable. That means being comfortable with success, with happiness, with money, with recognition, with warm and nurturing and fulfilling relationships. The benefits are truly extraordinary. You wake up every day with a beautiful set of expectations and a profound belief in your worthiness to create everything your heart desires.
If the entire world sought to make itself worthy of happiness rather than make itself happy, then the entire world would be happy.
