Feeling under pressure to deliver constantly?

Feeling under pressure to deliver constantly?

Are you constantly juggling a number of balls and feel stressed about dropping any of them?

Do you wake each day feeling you have a huge pressure on your back to be: the perfect parent, the perfect colleague, the perfect employee or the perfect friend?

Do you worry about letting people down and as a result do everything in your power to ensure that this doesn't happen?

How to reappropriate the term 'Dropping the Ball'

This is extremely common in many clients with stress-induced symptoms and recently I came across this article, 'How to drop the ball in your life without letting anyone down (including you)' which I hope you will find interesting and helpful.

The article shares 3 ways to reappropriate the term “dropping the ball” so it means “doing less and achieving more”. If you're struggling with over-ambitious self expectations, I encourage you to give the article a read.

The Happy News

This past?weekend?Zoe and our membership board and I went to north Wales for?the weekend?and 'walked the talk' by looking after our own self-care, while also brainstorming ideas for future SIRPA events. One of the topics discussed was the negative impact of hearing fear provoking media stories. Zoe shared that she subscribes to?the Happy Newspaper?which celebrates all that is good in the world.

The newspaper is a platform to share positive news stories and wonderful people. What a lovely way to restore your faith in the world and the amazing people who are doing good within it. A change in perception can do wonders for your health and happiness.
