Feeling Stuck?

As I sit here considering what to share with you this week, my chest tightens and my breathing becomes heavy. I remember the day, like it was yesterday, when the overwhelm of my business became too much.
When they say your body remembers everything, it’s true. This was more than 10 years ago, and the weight of it still lingers.
I had been spinning my wheels for so long, thinking I was making progress when the reality was I would start and stop, start and stop, and start and stop. Until one day, I just couldn't start anymore. I had run out of starting points. I knew I had to do something different, and I didn't even know where to begin. My brain felt numb.
If you’ve ever felt stuck, truly stuck, you know how paralyzing it can be. The pressure builds, the weight on your shoulders grows heavier, and the options seem to shrink before your eyes. But here’s what I’ve learned: the way out is through. And the only way through is to take action, even when it feels impossible.
However, taking action doesn’t mean doing it alone.
What Changed Everything for Me
I tried for years to push through on my own. I told myself I just needed to “figure it out,” to work harder, to think my way out of it. But no matter how much effort I put in, I kept hitting the same wall.
The difference-maker wasn’t more discipline or a better strategy. I had discipline. And I didn't know what strategy to build for what destination. My difference maker was getting help. I could only get so far on my own.
What was further discouraging at the time and likely a big reason why this feeling sticks with me today, is that I didn't know help was even available, I felt completely alone in figuring it out. I was 9 years into business (and probably 4 years of Hell) when I learned about the help available and finally found someone. Not to fix everything for me, but to help me stop spinning in circles and start making actual progress. To give me perspective. To listen. To challenge me when I got stuck in my own head, and back then it happened often.
That was the moment everything started to shift.
Three Steps to Start Moving Again
If you’re in that place, feeling stuck in your current condition, not knowing how to move forward with your next step, here are three steps that helped me get unstuck and regain momentum:
1. Stop Trying to Solve Everything at Once
When you're overwhelmed, your brain will trick you into believing that you have to fix everything, everywhere, all at once. The truth? You don’t. The first step is to zoom out and focus on just one thing. Ask yourself: What’s the single most important action I can take right now that will move me forward? Then, do that.

2. Take Micro-Actions (Even If They Feel Insignificant)
The weight of inertia is strongest when you’re at a standstill. Big leaps aren’t necessary, small, intentional steps are. Even sending one email, making one phone call, or setting a 15-minute timer to organize your thoughts can start shifting your momentum. Action creates clarity. Clarity creates confidence.
3. Get Someone in Your Corner
This was the game-changer for me. When I was stuck in my own head, my thoughts just ran in circles—fear, doubt, ideas, overthinking. The moment I had someone to talk to, everything changed.
Having a trusted person, whether it’s a mentor, coach, or even just a peer, makes all the difference. You don’t have to have all the answers. You just need someone who can help you find them.
You Don’t Have to Do It Alone
I wish I could say that one big revelation changed everything, however, it didn’t. What changed everything was choosing to take the next step, every single day, even when I didn’t feel like it.
And more importantly? I had help.
If you’re feeling stuck right now, I want you to know: You haven’t run out of starting points. You just need a new approach.
Pick one thing. Take one step. Reach out to one person.
And if you don’t have that person yet, someone to listen, challenge you, and help you break through, send me a DM. Let’s talk.
The way forward is always within reach. You just don’t have to find it alone.
