Hey Change Agents,
How are you? Not just in this moment, but overall. As leaders, movers and shakers, change agents, and people of color, we often get so caught up in the pursuit of our dreams that we forget to pause and check in with ourselves.
When we hear the term "well-being," many of us immediately think of our health. While health is undoubtedly important, it's just one piece of the puzzle. True well-being encompasses multiple facets of our lives, and neglecting any one area can diminish our overall quality of life and increase the risk of burnout.
Five Elements of Well-Being
Let's take a moment to reflect on these essential elements of well-being:
Career Well-being: How do you feel about your daily work? Are you fulfilled and engaged in your career?
Social Well-being: Do you have strong relationships and love in your life? Are you nurturing connections with others?
Financial Well-being: Are you effectively managing your economic life? Do you feel secure about your financial situation?
Physical Well-being: Are you prioritizing your health and ensuring you have enough energy to accomplish daily tasks?
Community Well-being: Do you feel engaged with and connected to your community?

It's common to find ourselves excelling in some areas while struggling in others. In fact, research shows that only 66% of people are doing well in at least one of these areas, with just 7% thriving in all five.
If any of these domains require attention, it's essential to address them. Strengthening our well-being in each area contributes to better days, months, and decades ahead. However, achieving true fulfillment requires effective balance across all five elements.
