Feeling Down? Motivation Is The Key.

Feeling Down? Motivation Is The Key.

Are there days when you get up and don’t feel like doing anything? When even getting out of the bed is an uphill task? When you dread going out and facing the world? When you just want to be left alone? When you want somehow the day to get over?

Well, we all have been through those phases when we feel down in the dumps. When body and spirit don’t support us. What you need, my friend, is a little bit of push, little bit of motivation, someone or something to shake you a little. How do we get this motivation? I wish it came in the form of a medicine and we could gulp it. Alas, it does not and we all need to figure out a way.

This story is about a young woman named Jessica Cox. Jessica was born in 1983 in Arizona, without arms, but that didn’t stop her from pursuing her dreams. At the age of 14, she started taking flying lessons, and at the age of 25, she became the first person without arms to earn a pilot’s license. But that was just the beginning. Jessica went on to become a motivational speaker, a martial artist, and a certified scuba diver. She even learned to drive a car with her feet. She is the world’s first licensed armless pilot as well as first armless black belt in the American Taekwondo Association.

What inspired me about Jessica’s story was her incredible determination and resilience. Despite the challenges she faced, she refused to give up on her dreams. She found creative solutions to the obstacles in her path and never let her disability hold her back. Jessica’s story reminds us that anything is possible if we have the courage and determination to pursue our dreams. I may not do justice to her indomitable go-getter spirit. I sincerely urge you all to look her up on Internet and read her story and see her videos on YouTube. Next time when you feel down, just think about her and maybe you will get the motivation that you need.

?“Instead of asking “can something be done” ask “how it can be done” – Jessica Cox.

Motivation is the driving force that propels us forward towards our goals and dreams. It is the energy that fuels our actions and ambitions, and the spark that ignites our passions and desires. Without motivation, we would be like ships without a rudder, drifting aimlessly in the sea of life, with no clear direction or purpose.

But what exactly is motivation, and how can we cultivate it in our lives?

At its core, motivation is the result of two key factors: inspiration and perspiration. Inspiration is the spark of creativity and passion that ignites our imagination and fuels our aspirations. It is the vision of what we want to achieve, the dream of who we want to become, and the belief that we have the power to make it happen.

But inspiration alone is not enough. It must be coupled with perspiration, the hard work, dedication, and perseverance that are required to turn our dreams into reality. It is the willingness to get up early, stay up late, and do whatever it takes to achieve our goals, even when the going gets tough.

So how can we cultivate both inspiration and perspiration in our lives? Let me share five key strategies that I believe can help us to do just that.

1. Set clear and compelling goals.

The first step towards motivation is to know what we want to achieve. This requires setting clear and compelling goals that are aligned with our values, passions, and aspirations. The more specific and tangible our goals are, the easier it is to stay motivated and focused on achieving them.

2. Develop a growth mindset.

The second strategy is to cultivate a growth mindset, which is the belief that our abilities and intelligence can be developed through hard work, dedication, and perseverance. This mindset allows us to view challenges and setbacks as opportunities for learning and growth, rather than as obstacles to our success.

3. Surround yourself with positive influences.

The third strategy is to surround ourselves with positive influences, such as supportive friends, mentors, and role models who inspire and encourage us to achieve our goals. We should also seek out resources and tools that can help us to develop our skills and abilities, such as books, courses, and workshops.

4. Build a daily routine.

The fourth strategy is to build a daily routine that supports our goals and aspirations. This includes setting aside time each day for activities that contribute to our physical, mental, and emotional well-being, such as exercise, meditation, reading, and journaling.

5. Celebrate your successes.

The final strategy is to celebrate our successes, no matter how small they may be. This helps to reinforce our motivation and builds our confidence and self-esteem, which can help us to overcome obstacles and challenges that we may face along the way.

Remember, motivation is the driving force that propels us towards our goals and dreams. By cultivating both inspiration and perspiration in our lives, we can create a powerful force that can propel us towards success and fulfillment.

I encourage you all to take these strategies and apply them to your own life. Set clear and compelling goals, develop a growth mindset, surround yourself with positive influences, build a daily routine, and celebrate your successes.

Have you read or heard about a man named Nick Vujicic? Nicholas James Vujicic is an Australian American Christian evangelist and motivational speaker of Serbian descent born with tetra-amelia syndrome, a rare disorder. Nick was born in Australia in 1982 without arms or legs, and his childhood was marked by intense physical and emotional pain. He was bullied and ostracized by his peers, and he struggled with depression and thoughts of suicide. But Nick refused to give up. He found solace in his faith and his family, and he began to share his story with others.

Today, Nick is a motivational speaker and the founder of the nonprofit organization Life Without Limbs. He has traveled the world sharing his message of hope and inspiration, and he has inspired millions of people with his courage and resilience. “I don’t think of obstacles as barriers, I think of obstacles as opportunities.”

What inspired me about Nick’s story was the way he turned his pain into purpose. He didn’t let his disability define him, but instead used it as a platform to inspire and motivate others. Nick’s story reminds us that even in our darkest moments, there is always hope, and that our struggles can become our greatest strengths. His story will give you goosebumps. Here is someone who doctors had given up on, who was not expected to live or survive. But here is also someone who was loved by his family and is now darling for millions of people worldwide. A true legend, a true source of inspiration for many.

When you feel down in the dumps, when you feel depressed and distraught, remember you’re a story in making. You’re seeking an inspiration today but you would be an inspiration to many tomorrow. Do what must be done even when you don’t want to. Set your compass right every morning. Ready, watch or listen about these success stories every day in the morning before you step out to face the world. Your actions will dispel your fears. Your actions will destroy any self doubt that you have.
