Around the world, about 20% of workers feel lonely, angry, or sad on a daily basis, according to a new Gallup survey.
That's concerning for a lot of reasons, but if you're the type to have a Gordon Gekko poster on your wall, you'll probably care the most about this one: Unhappy employees hurt the bottom line.

? ICYMI: Baseball icon Willie Mays has died at age 93. Nicknamed the "Say Hey Kid," Mays played 23 MLB seasons, mostly with the New York Giants and then the San Francisco Giants after the team switched coasts. Mays notched two league MVP awards and 12 Gold Gloves. All 30 MLB teams are honoring Mays with a moment of silence today, and the Giants have added a "Mays 24" patch to their jerseys "in honor of Willie," the team says. Full story

8 个月Depression is so depressing. You feel sad all the time. You can’t get ahead. The world sucks with needless wars. Americans who support a former President who is a perpetual liar. Everything costs more. No wonder we are depressed. We are a society in decline. Our churches, our Supreme Court, our Congress has failed us. No wonder we feel defeated.

8 个月Often employers are daunted by the cost of elaborate programs and resources when the reality is that ruthlessly prioritizing to get rid of low value work that doesn't add value and providing more autonomy would go a long way to support people's #mentalhealth.
