Feeling a bit drained? 5 Tips to lighten your load and stay productive

Hi friend,?

I feel like we’re in the point of the year where it’s common to start feeling a little drained from your workday.

And while I can’t exactly make the call on reducing your “workload” I do have some tips to help you refuel and be more productive.

  1. Stay hydrated. Ever wonder why headaches come on? Staying hydrated is fuel for your body and considering all of the work your brain is doing while you are working, you need the fuel.
  2. Ergonomic workspace. Adjust your chair, desk, monitor our switch it up a bit throughout the day. This helps you avoid staying in one posture for prolonged periods and those adjustments give your body a break.
  3. Tech-Free breaks. Turning off the screen helps your brain rest. Need to brain dump? Get out your pen and paper. Have a long report to read? Print it out, find a comfortable screen-free place to read it.?
  4. Time blocking. Organize your day with work, breaks, and leisure time blocks. We are not made to work for 8 hours straight with no breaks. Breaking your day up will make you more productive.?
  5. Healthy snacks. Keep nutritious snacks to fuel your body and mind.?

If you want to dive more into this, I have a free guide to help further support you in this. Mental Health in the Workplace. You can download it here .?

Here’s to your success and well-being!

Great post! 100% agree with 'Time blocking'—that one was actually a very good thing that improved my productivity! With 'Healthy Snacks,' I probably disagree because I don't believe that snacking can be healthy. But I also know that bodies are different. Mine loves snacking, but then I feel bad and gain weight, so it's not good for me.
