Feeling behind in your business

Maybe 2024 isn’t going the way you hoped. Maybe you’re feeling behind on your business goals and now, you’re feeling triggered by the success of other business owners in your niche.?
Or, maybe your business saw tremendous success in the past few years, and now you feel like your best entrepreneurial days have already passed, and are stressing over whether your business will “work” again
Either way, it’s tremendously difficult to appreciate what you have accomplished, both past, present, and future …?
If this is hitting home for you, let’s get you out of this headspace first and foremost.?
Ultimately, the biggest work we can do for the future of ourselves and our business is to learn to develop a grounded sense of commitment to, appreciation of, and conviction behind our work and the inherent value of the work that we do….?
IRRESPECTIVE of how your success compares to other entrepreneurs OR to your past accomplishments ??
Here are 3 perspectives that have helped me this year, and I hope that they can give you a different way of looking at your business and kick you back into momentum for the rest of 2024.
PERSPECTIVE 1: Someone is looking up to you and sees you as an example of who they want to be and what they want to create?
Someone, right now,? is looking at you as an example of what is possible.?
They’re amazed at your growth, both in terms of your character growth and business growth.?
But here we are… Busy dismissing all that we’ve created and shitting on who we’ve become….?
In other words: Besides failing to appreciate how far you’ve become, you’re also inadvertently dismissing someone else’s amazement at you and their wonderful perceptions of your work?
So, even if you struggle to feel good about yourself right now… Please keep going for the peeps who are in awe at what you do.?
You got work to do, not just for yourself, but for others.?
Keep going. You got this :)?
PERSPECTIVE 2:? Different seasons will require you to focus on different metrics of success?
We all have different seasons in business and life, and our metrics of success will need to adjust according to the season we are in.?
This is CRITICAL so that you don’t constantly stay stuck in the thought loop of “I’m so behind, my current results aren’t good enough” and therefore feel helpless over your situation or outcomes.
Being able to discern what your metrics of success or growth is for this season is going to be profoundly helpful because otherwise, you might be judging and shaming yourself based on the wrong metrics.?

PERSPECTIVE 3:? You’re forgetting your own brilliance?
I’m going to bet that right now, you’re forgetting what makes you uniquely brilliant at what you do. You’re forgetting all the ways you are different than your colleagues. You’re losing sight of the value that you uniquely bring to our work.?
In other words… you’re forgetting your unique thought leadership.?
Right now, a big part of your work is to own the belief that you DO have thought leadership that you ARE contributing to your field, and continuing to REMEMBER what is uniquely different about you and your work.?
You need to learn to validate yourself and what you do, rather than letting “I didn’t make X amount of money in 2024 so far” completely invalidate you, crush your momentum, and discourage you from showing up.?
And frankly, when you're able to step into your power and really own your thought leadership…. No one else can do it like you do.?
Also, you no longer need to feel validated OR invalidated by your comparisons or feelings of being behind because now, you're so rooted in the thought leadership you bring to the table.?
This work matters, and I hope these perspectives gave you something to chew on today :)
Sounds good? Awesome. Let's get to work.
