Working through our fears to reach the authentic, amazing, passionate creator who is in us is one of my topic of choice.
Last Friday I have listened to a fascinating fire side dialogue hosted by The Happy Startup School , Laurence Mc Cahill and Dr. Carlos Saba, with David Papa, who offers you unconditionally coaching.
I usually take notes when I listen to podcasts and webinars. For this one I decided to share them with you. This is important.
Our essential state is unconditional
Our problems are created by our conditioning that we live by: judgments, expectations, and Fear convinces us that choices we make are rational choices.
When we built a "rational" process for our decisions, behind it's all about fear.
We hide our dreams behind our fears
David tell us that going for that unreasonable thing is always better that the rational choice. To get to that place you need to do fear work, you need to get to the "shadow" ( Carl Jung) of you.
If you want to go directly to your dreams, start work with the fears, don’t hide behind them.?
As fear is a sane feeling that is there to keep you alive, you cannot get away form the fear, but you can chose to not believe in the vision that fear is giving you
When going to "big things" we usually feel at least discomfort, at most a threat. Discomfort is not a problem, emotional discomfort means that a process is going on, which is good. We usually feel discomfort in a situation of failure. But failure is meaningless from an external ??objective?? perspective; what we know is that we hate the feeling when something that we see as a failure, happens.
Shift the way we make decisions
What if we make decisions on the base of a feeling of ??expansion??, joy, happiness, and mot on a feeling of constriction, of ??I should?? or ??I have to??. How are you usually making decisions?

How would it feel to make decisions from the deepest version of you? If "scary" is the answer, you has some hints about how fear operates to drive our decisions.
When you make a specific decision, what is the emotional feeling being it? Joy? love? Or Security????This makes sense????
When you ar making a decision, and people have objections, they speak from their own fear.
When you make the best decision for you you have the feeling of "YES!!!". Did you experience that? Then let us know in the comments section here below??
David gives us great tips to decision making: before making that decision rate your options on a scale of joy.? If you have various options and they are all kind of tide you either need to open your sensitivity or you haven’t found your real ??YES?? yet. When you expand your capacity for feeling you expand the whole?bandwidth : the pain and the joy!
How can you search your "YES": Your most magical, practical, wise tool is your body. Ask your body! David recommends us "heavening" as technique to work with the body. there are of course many more, one of my favorite si Social Presenting Theatre
Let the fear be your friend, acknowledge it, make it your friend, but don’t let it make the decision, don’t let it drive the bus. The three domains where fear operates and you can work with are
The "Your Are Enough" conclusion
You don’t need anything more, the powerful, resourceful, passionate creator being you’re seeking for, is inside you. Your are already that. You just need to work with your fear so it does not run your life.

1 年Thank you Oana for sharing and quoting me ?? Feelings are our friends, fear is our friend, but as it works for all friends, it can be some times a bit "heavy" ??. Mainly we have to distinguish between real fears and unrational fears... I come from a family where "we can not feel fear", and it is a problem for me... I like to share it with people who feel it too often, which is also a problem... it is healthy to identify our fears, listen to them, welcome them, and speak to them... Then often protect us from something essential for us ??
On a mission to put emotions at the ?? of leadership skills?
1 年Thanks Oana For sharing your notes on this great episode of The Happy Startup School fireside. I had to jump out before the end and I am looking forward to catching up the full episode ! Fear can inhibit us in our growth: our own fears or the ones that others project onto us. I agree with you: it’s importance to be friend with our fears because they can also lead us to better fulfilling our core needs. Have a nice weekend
