Feel the Love
When I was in college, a had a close friend who was in strong love relationship with one of ours classmate. the girl was ordinary, average beauty. She also fell on love with him. but slowly we was missing him because he became more attached with the girl. he was using each and every occasion to talk to her. before the class, after the class, before the exam, after the exam, in day time, in evening time, in winter, in summer, in all possible and not possible time.
when he was not able to talk to her, he was talking about her. actually we got vexed from hearing his talks about his her every time he sat with us. many time we requested his politely and impolitely to stop talking about her with us. but his was answering us, if I didn't talk about her with you guys I am going to seat with unknown people for me to talk about her.
Recently, twenty years passed after this love story, I was attended a speech about the true love. The preacher relied on the first letter of Paul to the Corinthians in particular, chapter 13 "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres". but I argued "these are the works of love, not love itself". those are tools to measure the love or judge on others love level to us or it can be good actions without true love.
Yes, Apostle Paul and the preacher know much more than me, but I didn't convince. I saw myself as a crazy argue for the meaning of love. the preacher cited Apostle Paul quote "Love never fails" but forgot to say why? "because God is love"
Jesus give us a new commandment "that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another" by knowing how God loves us, we will know the way of the true love. no one can know how God loves us before reading the Bible (the old Testaments and new Testaments). Starting from the beginning God created the heavens and the earth for human kind until it passed away and seeing the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God.
Yes, God loves us same as my college friend loves his wife. he made everything only for us, he is talking to us in all possible and not possible time. Using nature, philosophy, logic, feeling, sciences, and The prophets to talk with us and about us. why God loves us? for the same reason that made my college friend loves his wife. "FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life"
Every human must look thoughtfully at Jesus Christ like a dreamer for divine love and not go down in his eyes from the person of Jesus Christ until his eyes shine and he feels unable to distance it from him again. This is the love.
