Feel Good Friday: Quiana Rowe, single mom, helping other single moms

In your shoes

This week's #Feelgoodfriday story highlights Quiana Rowe, a single mom of 5 children. She resides in Louisiana and is employed at Walmart as a Complex Market Manager. She also is a writer in her free time with "Life after heartbreak" and her blog. However, we wanted to highlight Quiana for a different reason.

Quiana or "Q" as she is known, takes her time to give back. And she does so by assisting single moms across the country. She makes care packages and sends gifts to single moms who may be in need. Being in their shoes, Q is able to show sympathy and wants to help where she can.

Walmart Journey

Her journey at Walmart started in December 2007. Initially, a customer service manager Ms. Rowe was then promoted to assistant manager. Soon after she became a co-manager until ultimately becoming a store manager in 2016. She has worked her way up to now residing in over 8 locations in total. Her perseverance and growth in her career are reflective of who she is as an individual and the way she insists on helping others in need.

Giving back

In an interview with WGNO, she talks about the importance of the work she does. It has a wonderful video that demonstrates the character of Q. She said every gift she delivers comes with the same message, "you can do this!".
