The AIX Feedback Directed Program Restructuring Tool

My second article this month in IBM Systems Magazine is about a little known, seldom used (by everybody except me) and yet extremely powerful performance utility called the FDPR or "Feedback Directed program Restructuring" tool. Its job is to optimize already-compiled code so that it not only runs faster but usually uses less Memory and CPU cycles. Have a look to learn a bit about this incredible resource:
