According to the monitoring of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China, the prices of live pig, beef, corn and compound feed for laying hens rose in the 2nd week of November, while the price of soybean meal fell and the price of feed for fattening pigs and broiler chickens remained flat.
The average price of corn 2.89 yuan / kg, up 0.7% over the previous week, up 13.3% year-on-year. The average price of soybean meal 3.80 yuan / kg, down 1.3% over the previous week, up 9.8% year-on-year. The average price of compound feed for fattening pigs and broiler chickens was 3.63 yuan/kg and 3.67 yuan/kg respectively, unchanged from the previous week, up 8.4% and 8.6% year-on-year respectively. The average price of compound feed for laying hens was 3.40 yuan/kg, up 0.3% from the previous week and up 10.0% year-on-year.
The average prices of live pigs and pork were 17.10 yuan/kg and 27.18 yuan/kg respectively, up 6.3% and 4.9% from the previous week, and down 42.7% and 42.2% year-on-year respectively. The average price of beef was 86.58 yuan/kg, up 0.3% from the previous week and up 1.3% year-on-year.
