Currently, the FED compares the price volatility of eggs measured in bitcoin. The observation period is 13 months. Conclusion: Bitcoin is more volatile than the USD.

In the same period, I look at how the price of gas in USD has developed. Bottom line: The USD’s volatility vis-à-vis gas is enormous.

Since I am a gold bug, I compare gold against the USD in my (long) period of observation. The USD has lost 96 % of it's value since 1900 while the gold price has increased by over 7'000 % (in USD terms).

If you want to compare the dollar with Bitcoin, the situation will be even more dramatic within the past five years. The USD has lost 97.60% in value compared to Bitcoin.
