February Updates from Si Amsterdam Hub

This Wednesday, our first Learning Lab begins!

Until now, 20 people are joining the Learning Lab, so we’re very excited to start this six-week adventure together.?

Once a week, on Wednesdays from 16-18 CET, we will come together to learn about Systems Innovation through a blend of short explanations, exercises, and discussions. These sessions will help prepare participants to face the complex questions and challenges they will be presented with throughout a systems change initiative. Together we will apply systems thinking tools and methods to a real challenge taking place in the Netherlands. We will invite a key stakeholder from this system to share the challenge from their perspective at the beginning of the learning lab. At the end of the learning lab, will share the insights we gained with them.

We will not only learn how to approach a systems change initiative, but also build connections and learn from the other participants. In the last session of the Learning Lab, we will look into the future together to think about how we want to apply what we have learned and how we can support each other in that. This way, the community that starts to form throughout the six weeks will continue to evolve after the Learning Lab ends.

On the 24th Feb, it will be exactly one year into the war between Russia and Ukraine, In the workshop that commemorates the year since the beginning of the tragedy, Pavel Luksha , founder of Global Education Futures will guide us to reflect on the war in Ukraine and its consequences in the systemic perspective, mapping out the long-range implications for models of governance, economy, and culture. We will also discuss the opportunities for systemic innovations that will work with these implications and their challenges.
