Monthly Notes: Data Science, AI, Large Language Models and Beyond

This month, IDinsight shared its?open-source generative AI tool, Ask A Question,?a real-time question-answering service that nonprofits can use to connect with the community they serve. Three of our data science and engineering team members attended the?Google.org AI Accelerator, which will support the development and evolution of this tool to reach its full potential. Our colleagues shared updates on their work using satellite imagery for sampling and using a GPT tool for knowledge management to quickly find files and resources pulling from an organization's intranet, Google Drive, Slack, or other internal system.

IDinsight open-sources early version of AI powered question-answering service

Evolved from our work using AI and large language models (LLMs) to help Reach Digital Health and South Africa's Ministry of Health answer questions from new and pregnant mothers. Ask A Question is a real-time question-answering service that integrates with WhatsApp and helps those in the social sector answer questions from the community they serve.

Improving efficiency in data collection with automated grid sampling
