Sequans Communications
Leading Provider of Cellular IoT Semiconductors and Modules
Along with the rapid rise in the number of IoT devices deployed around the world has been a concomitant rise in fear for their security. Sequans’ technologists have written a new white paper specifically addressing security in cellular IoT modems and in it they clear up some of the confusion that exists today regarding how to protect IoT devices against cyberthreats and how to distinguish between real and exaggerated threats.?Are cellular IoT devices affected by the same threats as other types of connected devices? What security features inherently exist in a cellular IoT modem? What additional advanced security protections are necessary? These questions and more are answered for IoT device makers, with a clear eye on how to develop a smart strategy that ensures the right level of security.?You’ll learn about cellular IoT defense techniques such as secure boot and secure upgrade, and you’ll learn about the importance of using a cellular IoT chipset with a secure enclave for integrated eSIM that is certified at the highest level.
Monarch 2 with Integrated eSIM
Sequans’ Monarch 2 LTE-M/NB-IoT product family includes three modules covering all IoT application types:? 1) Monarch 2 GM02S, 2) Monarch 2 GM02SP with integrated GNSS, and Monarch 2 SiP with specialized packaging designed for water and gas utility meters. All these modules deliver very high levels of security and reliability, including industry-leading low power consumption, and a secure enclave for integrated eSIM that is certified at the Common Criteria EAL5+ level, the highest in the industry.
MWC Barcelona 2024
We look forward to seeing you at MWC Barcelona next month. We are in hall 5, stand 5H40, and will be discussing 5G and beyond, and how cellular will support the 6 billion cellular connected IoT devices expected to be deployed by 2030 [Counterpoint Research, 2023]. 2024 will see an acceleration in cellular IoT device deployment as their widespread adoption contributes to cost reductions and makes them more competitive than ever before against alternative non-cellular technologies. Now is the time to connect your IoT device with 5G/4G cellular, and no one knows more about this than Sequans. Contact us at [email protected] to schedule a meeting. See you in Barcelona!
DistribuTECH International 2024
You will also find us at Distributech International in Orlando, where we will be discussing cellular IoT for the utilities industry. Sequans has established itself as a key technology provider in this important market and our cellular IoT chipset and modules are already inside millions of smart meters worldwide. In addition to our LTE-M/NB-IoTMonarch 2 GM02S and Monarch 2 SiP modules, we will highlight ourLTE Cat 4 Cassiopeia CA410 module that is designed for USA utility public and private networks (CBRS and Anterix) in a single solution. You'll find it operating in a live demo in the booth of Anterix, #2001. ?
We've Got You Covered
Sequans is the only chipmaker focused 100% on cellular IoT and the only one to offer a comprehensive portfolio of IoT-optimized chips and modules. In addition to Monarch 2 for LTE-M and NB-IoT, we offer Calliope 2 for Cat 1bis, Cassiopeia for Cat 4/CBRS/Anterix, and Taurus for 5G NR.

9 个月Also good point on embedded EAL5+ secure elements. IoT devices are usually deployed in unsecure and accessible places where attackers can use physical attacks (side-channel, fault injection...) and make firmware reverse engineering to learn on the device. EAL5+ certified chips/systems set proper obstacles to those.
