Project Management at the European Parliament celebrates a nearly 20-year-long journey. It was first introduced as PMME4P in 2003 and after multiple evolutions (WEM4EP, BPMEP, IPM4EP) ENGAGE was born and released, as a generic Project Management Method in 2016. Today, the?ENGAGE methodology is the recommended approach for managing projects at the European Parliament and proudly developed and supported by the Directorate-General for Innovation and Technological Support DG ITEC.

Agile Study 2023?

PwC Luxembourg and PMI Luxembourg are launching the 4th edition of the Agile study. The bi-annual study follows the level of adoption of agile project management principles, evolution in the understanding and perception of the methodology and best practices in companies active in different sectors in Luxembourg and across Europe using established KPIs including the Agility Index.?

The last edition in 2021 the study included 15 European countries and 17 PMI Chapters. We are planning to start the study in Luxembourg in February and the results will be presented in October during a live event. A similar timeline is planned for the EU study with results presentation in November.?

Laila Lahham, PMP?, MSc.?has more than seventeen years of experience in civil engineering and project management. Throughout her career, she has managed many successful projects, including construction projects, adhering to quality standards and strict deadlines. She is currently working as a Management Consultant and Trainer in a Management Services firm.?

Laila has taken up the role of?Vice-President / Secretary?starting from 1st January 2023.?

Aurora Gualtieri, CAPM?has a master in business management and is currently gaining experience by leading a transversal project. She is working in the field of business development with a particular focus on projects related to the alternative investment funds industry at one of the Big 4 consultancy companies. She is also experienced in risk management. Aurora is passionate about leading projects, communication, languages and travelling.

Aurora has taken up the role of?Director of Membership & Volunteers?starting from 1st January 2023.

We are working hard on the event calendar for the first half of this year. You can look forward to online and hybrid events on topics that include?change management, time management, Kaizen and lean, process modeling. Our signature event called?Agile Week?is also in the pipeline. We hope to have more details to share about these events in our next newsletter issue.
