Looking Glass Survey '22 - The Results

The results of the Looking Glass ‘22 survey are out and although improvements to the mental health and wellbeing of our industry are slight, positive shifts are starting to be felt. The survey heard from 2,000 people working across film and TV, and the results show that small but significant steps are being taken to make our industry a more mentally healthy place to work:

  • 80% of respondents can see a positive change in culture and behaviours in the industry.
  • Reports of poor mental health within the industry fell - 24% in 2022 vs. 29% in 2021.
  • Reporting of bullying and harassment fell from 53% to 46%

Our Impact?

A writer and director, who has worked in the industry for 20 years, contacted the charity after an episode of poor health began to impact their work and family. They worked with our Work and Wellbeing Advisor to get back on track, with support for the financial, physical and emotional challenges they were facing. Feeling more confident about getting their career back on track, they remain so grateful for the supportive and nurturing role we played in their journey.
