Dancin' For A Cause!

Get ready to groove and move as WLR’s Kieran Foley, Kyle Butler, Ellie Mackey & Daivd Bjelac take to the stage for Dance for Life, presented by the Solas Cancer Support Centre!

These four dynamic individuals, along with 32 other dancers, are diving into a 10-week training program, mastering dances like the Charleston, Disco, Salsa, Waltz, and Jive, just to name a few! The excitement kicks off with a vibrant group dance that promises to get everyone on their feet.

Let's cheer them on as they support the Solas Cancer Support Centre's vital mission. All funds raised will help provide free professional support services for people affected by cancer in Waterford and throughout the South East.

WLR's Live Parade Broadcast

Waterford City was a spectacle of green as thousands gathered to honour St. Patrick's Day.

Led by the All-Ireland finalists Waterford Senior Camogie team, the Parade, themed 'Seize the Déise', showcased the best of our community through colour, music, and tradition.

It was an exciting live outside broadcast from Waterford's St. Patrick’s Day Parade, brought to you by WLR’s Andy Mac & the WLR Street Team, supported by RelateCare.

From its start at Waterford Bus Station, winding along the Quay, and concluding at the Mall, the parade captured the essence of our beloved city. Let's not forget the spirited parades in neighbouring towns, adding to the joy of the occasion.

A heartfelt appreciation goes out to the WLR team for their unwavering dedication in also covering the festivities in neighboring towns such as Tramore, Dungarvan, Portlaw, and Clasmore. Their commitment ensured that the magic of the day was authentically captured and shared far and wide, highlighting the unity and spirit of our community.
