The Month of Love

As we near the end of the month, it's time to reflect on what a month it's been!

February is renowned as the month of love, as masses across the globe celebrate Valentine's Day on the 14th. This year, whether you spent the occasion with your partner, family, colleagues or friends or simply took the day for yourself (here's to #selflove!), we hope it was a celebration well spent. At BKT, we continuously celebrate the love of our global community - not just on Valentine's Day, but every day of the year!

Salon International de l'Agriculture

Salon International de l'Agriculture is running from February 25th to March 5th this year, and BKT are excited to be part of this renowned event. Since its origins, the event was built for the people who make up the backbone of the farming community worldwide. Fast-forward almost six decades later, and this ever-growing event continues to thrive, celebrating all things agriculture.

This year's event celebrates international produce - with a particular focus on France's own plant sector. From crops to groceries, there are an array of products available for all farmaholics alike! There are also a range of farming vehicles being showcased: spot the plexiglass tractor equipped with AGRIMAXFACTOR!

We are especially proud to be showcasing our products at this event due to its community values and sustainable initiatives. At BKT, we believe it is important to be affiliated with events and brands who align with our own beliefs. As a large-scale, international event, SIA is passionate about improving their sustainable practices: fighting food waste, protecting biodiversity, paper reduction, animal welfare - to name but a few!

Bhuj: Enter the Future

BKT are incredibly proud of our Bhuj Plant, which remains our largest, most thriving plant.

We recently invited several customers, media and stakeholders to visit our Bhuj Plant and show them the fantastic developments made over the last few years. Most of these guests last visited Bhuj before the pandemic - so we had a lot to update them on!

We have particularly made progress with our sustainable initiatives. Across 2021 and 2022, we achieved 33% green energy coverage and zero liquid discharge at Bhuj. Also, did somebody mention our Green Belt project? At our Bhuj plant, we have planted trees (over 100,000 in total!), grass and additional shrubs, which led to many endangered species taking shelter in our newly formed habitat.

We also showcased our investment into optimized production at Bhuj. We've invested in new, highly automated equipment and facilities that allow for more efficient production to the highest-quality standard.

We look forward to welcoming our BKT community back to Bhuj in the future; who knows where we will be in five years' time!
