It’s hard to believe January is already behind us, and we’re now in February 2025—time is moving fast! The first month of the year has been filled with expansion, strategic planning, and key partnerships, setting the stage for what promises to be a transformational year.

But beyond business, 2025 is also about family—a reminder that while we focus on growth and innovation, we must also make time for the people who matter most.

?? Stonewood Homes Expanding Internationally

Last week, I traveled to Brisbane to welcome our first Stonewood Homes franchisee in Australia—a major milestone as we expand beyond New Zealand. And we’re not stopping there—mid-March, I’ll be back in Brisbane to officially open our second franchisee in the Sunshine Coast, continuing our mission to bring high-quality, community-focused homes to more regions.

?? Hosting Sir John Key & Max Key at Our Radisson Hotel Development

In Auckland, I had the pleasure of touring Sir John Key and Max Key through our Radisson Hotel development and a private lunch to discuss our 2025 business stratgy. This project is progressing well and will be a game-changer for Auckland’s hospitality scene once completed.

?? Sydney with Accor Hotels for Luke Combs Concert

Business isn’t just about deals—it’s also about relationships. This weekend, I attended the Luke Combs concert in Sydney, thanks to our valued business partner Accor Hotel Group. It was a great reminder that strong partnerships go beyond business—they’re built on trust, shared values, and mutual respect.

?? Chinese New Year Fireworks & Community Support

Unfortunately, I won’t be able to be in Wellington tonight for our Stonewood Group sponsorship of the Chinese New Year fireworks for many years. While I would have loved to be there, I’m proud that we continue to support events that bring communities together.

What’s Coming Up: A Big February Ahead

?? Strategy Workshop for Stonewood & RCR at Pullman Rotorua

This month, I’ll be leading a strategy workshop at our Pullman Rotorua hotel, bringing together the leadership teams of Stonewood and RCR. This will be a crucial session to refine our growth strategies, operational efficiencies, and future innovations.

?? Annual Budget & Business Planning

We’re also finalizing our annual budget across multiple businesses, ensuring we remain financially disciplined and strategically focused while keeping an eye on expansion opportunities.

?? Scaling Renewable Energy: Solar Farms & EV Infrastructure

?? Solar Expansion: After successfully completing our first solar farm in Ashburton in December 2024, we are now working on our second and third solar farms—a testament to our commitment to sustainability and renewable energy.

? EV Charging Pilot Programme: We’re also preparing to launch our pilot programme for EV charging stations in Rotorua and Wellington, another step in our vision for a greener, more sustainable future.

Beyond Business: Celebrating Family in 2025

While business keeps moving forward, this year is also about making time for family.

?? Planning My Mum’s 80th Birthday A major milestone in 2025 is celebrating my Mum’s 80th birthday. She has been a pillar of strength for our family, and I want to ensure we celebrate this special occasion in a meaningful way.

?? Overseas Trip with Mum & Siblings Later this year, I’m planning an overseas trip with my Mum and siblings, a chance to reconnect, reflect, and create lifelong memories together. No matter how busy life gets, family remains the foundation of everything we do.

With January behind us, the pace is set for the rest of the year. Whether it’s expanding Stonewood Homes internationally, launching new renewable energy projects, completing our flagship hotel, or strengthening family bonds, 2025 is shaping up to be a year of bold moves, meaningful impact, and personal growth.

At the end of the day, success isn’t just measured in business milestones—it’s also about the moments we create with the people who matter most.
