Latest paper published in Metabolomics
We were really pleased to see our work, 'Optimized breath analysis: customized analytical methods and enhanced workflow for broader detection of VOCs,' published in the latest edition of the Metabolomics Journal. This new paper builds on our published work from last year, 'High-quality identification of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) originating from breath.'
The most recent paper discusses the development, including an updated methodology, of the Breath Biopsy VOC Atlas?, a catalog of VOCs that have been reliably distinguished from background contaminants in exhaled breath. The total confirmed on-breath VOCs has reached 186, which includes many biologically relevant compounds.
If you have not signed up for early access to the VOC Atlas, then please do register.

OMED Webinar available on demand
In early January, we hosted a webinar alongside Integrative Healthcare & Applied Nutrition (IHCAN) magazine on 'Breath Analysis to Monitor Dietary Interventions' which is now available for you to catch up on if you missed the live broadcast. The webinar, hosted by Rui Lopes our Medical Advisor explored how the OMED Health Breath Analyzer and App can be used to build a profile of digestive health that can be used to provide reports and monitor the progress of disease in response to therapy and on an ongoing basis. Within the App, visualization tools allow healthcare professionals and patients to start to see how symptoms are connected to diet and other factors through clinically validated biomarkers of digestive health – hydrogen and methane.
