February 2025: Leadership Visits, Communities Launch, IBC Wrap Up, and More!

As we step into March 2025, let’s pause to celebrate the dynamism and accomplishments that defined February at Sabre Bengaluru GCC. From global leadership visits to inspiring conversations and milestone moments, the month showcased our collaborative energy and unwavering focus. If you haven’t been able to keep up with all the latest from Bengaluru GCC, don’t worry, here’s a recap of everything that happened this month!

Global Leadership Visits

Kathy Morgan (SVP of Product Management, Sabre) was the first global leader to visit Sabre Bengaluru GCC in 2025. Her visit was nothing short of inspiring, marked by meaningful engagements across teams both within and beyond her organization. During her visit, she shared her career story with the W!T (Women in Technology) team, provided insights into Sabre’s NDC plan during a session with our manager community, and wrapped up with an engaging coffee chat that left everyone smiling.

Roshan Mendis (Chief Commercial Officer, Sabre) was in Bengaluru last week for a packed two-day visit. He joined Erika Miller (SVP, Information Systems Engineering, Sabre) for our Q1 2025 Townhall, where they shared new logo wins, highlighted our customer-first strategy, and answered some fun, lighthearted questions from our team members. He also connected with leaders and teams from Delivery, Consulting, and Care to discuss ongoing initiatives. We were also delighted to have Jamie Schulze and Macarena Bentancor from our Care team leadership join us.

During their visit, Roshan, Erika, and Jamie Schulze met with the Women in Technology (W!T) team in an informal session, exchanging personal stories and lessons from their inspiring journeys. Erika and Jamie also partnered with Sriram Gopalswamy for an interactive session with the 2025 Engineering interns, offering career insights and advice on navigating professional challenges.

We extend our gratitude to all our global leaders for taking the time to engage with our teams and sharing their valuable insights. We look forward to welcoming you back soon!

Some glimpses from the leadership visits in February 2025.

Communities Take Centerstage

We officially launched the ‘Communities’ initiative at Bengaluru GCC recently - an effort to streamline existing communities, while introducing new ones, aligned with our key pillars of success. These self-driven communities are empowered to envision and lead multiple initiatives, with necessary support from our internal teams. Guided by executive sponsors from our global leadership team, and driven by our Bengaluru leaders, these communities aim to foster innovation, collaboration, and meaningful impact.

Communities Launch Event

Several newly launched communities have already kicked off exciting initiatives, set to unfold in the coming weeks and months. These include the Design Craft program, which promotes design thinking; Echo+, giving our teams direct insight into the voice of the customer; and Sabre Skunkworks, an innovation lab to cultivate bold, out-of-the-box ideas.

We’re excited to see the creativity, learning, and customer-first solutions they bring to life!

Intern Boot Camp Wraps Up

The 2025 Engineering Intern Batch successfully concluded their Intern Boot Camp, a key component of Sabre’s Hyperjump – Campus to Corporate program, marking the start of their journey with us. Following the intensive two-week boot camp, our talented interns joined their respective teams, ready to dive into the dynamic world of travel technology.

Over the coming months, they will collaborate with some of the brightest minds at Sabre, learning the ropes, honing their skills, and contributing to innovative solutions through a series of planned initiatives. This hands-on experience will not only help them grow professionally but also play a role in shaping the future of Sabre.

Join us in wishing our rockstar interns the very best as they begin their journey with Sabre, bringing fresh perspectives and energy to our teams!

An Exciting March Ahead!

March is set to be another thrilling month at Sabre Bengaluru GCC, packed with engaging activities designed to celebrate talent, foster connections, and inspire innovation.

Kicking off the month is Sabre’s Got Talent, a vibrant platform for team members to showcase their cultural and creative skills, highlighting the diverse talents within our organization. To celebrate International Women’s Day, our Women in Technology (W!T) and Women’s Career Network (WCN) groups will host special celebrations to recognize and celebrate the incredible contributions of our women team members.

For our interns, the IBC Hackathon will present an exciting opportunity to put their coding skills to the test, collaborate with peers, and develop innovative solutions. And last but not the least, the Brew Break session will offer a relaxed setting for team members to unwind, connect, and discuss any topic of shared interest over a cup of coffee.

Mark your calendars and stay tuned for more updates!

Sabre's Thought Leadership on AI, Talent, and India’s Digital Growth

From the rise of AI-driven development to the rapid expansion of India’s digital and talent ecosystems, our thought leadership this month spanned key industry conversations (click on the names of the publications to read the full articles). For a story on TechGig, Harihara Subramanian J emphasizes that data privacy is not just about security — it’s about building trust through transparency, ethical practices, and cross-functional collaboration, as India’s data center growth accelerates. Meanwhile, in Open Source For You Magazine, Lokesh Chenta and Vijayabhaskar Reddy explore Spring AI, an open-source framework that simplifies Generative AI integration for Java developers, making AI adoption more accessible and flexible. Looking at the future of work, Rency Mathew discusses on Shine.com how a mix of technical and soft skills will be crucial for navigating the evolving workplace. She further expands on this in All Things Talent, where she highlights Sabre’s bold talent strategies, the growing influence of millennials and Gen Z, and how HyperJump and flexible work policies are shaping the future of Global Capability Centers (GCCs) in India.

This month, Sriram Gopalswamy participated in two high-profile panel discussions alongside other eminent industry leaders at the GCC Talent Summit 2025 by PeopleMatters and the Entrepreneur Technology and Innovation Summit 2025 - where he shared valuable insights on talent, technology, and innovation.
