1??PhD training available in China
Be one of the 50 students selected to pursue a PhD in China under the ANSO-CAS-TWAS/ UNESCO PhD Scholarship programme. Applicants should be students from developing countries, special (not exclusive) consideration will be given to students from the Least Developed Countries and women. The age limit is 35, and applicants cannot be Chinese citizens.

2??Career-boosting fellowships in Türkiye
‘Sandwich’ fellowship programmes for postgraduate students in the sciences are available through a programme by TWAS and the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye ( TüB?TAK ). Students from developing countries already pursuing a PhD may choose to spend 6–12 months at universities in Türkiye.

3??Pursue a postdoc career in Türkiye
PhD holders may pursue competitive postdoctoral studies in the sciences by applying for a Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TüB?TAK)-TWAS fellowship. Fellowships allow 6–36 months experience, working at universities in Türkiye. Candidates from one of 66 countries identified by TWAS to be lagging in science and technology, and women are especially encouraged to apply.

4??Discover the PhD TWAS-LUMS programme
Fellowships to pursue a PhD in natural sciences and engineering are available with the TWAS- Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) of Pakistan programme. Young scientists from Least Developed Countries and women are encouraged to apply. The age limit is 35 as of 31 December of the application year. The fellowships cover a maximum of five years. Work will take place at the Lahore University of Management Sciences, in Lahore, Pakistan.

5??Thinking of a PhD in biotech?
If you are looking for a PhD in biotechnology, explore the opportunity offered by TWAS and DBT India.
Five-year postgraduate fellowships are available through the joint programme of the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) of India’s Ministry of Science and Technology, and TWAS. Awardees must be from developing countries, and will work at one of the available Indian biotech research institutes for up to five years.

TWAS and the Department of Biotechnology of the Ministry of Science and Technology of India offer a fellowship programme for foreign bioscience or biotechnology PhD holders from developing countries. See if you are eligible, and submit your application to pursue postdoctoral studies in biotechnology at key research institutions in India. Fellowships last 12–18 months.

Apply for a TWAS-FAPESP Postdoctoral Fellowship in Brazil and work in all areas of the sciences. PhD holders resident and native of a least developed country will carry out their research at a host institute in the State of S?o Paulo for 12–24 months. The call is open towards bestowing the 2024 edition of the TWAS-Atta-ur-Rahman Award in Chemistry.
