The Growth of our HR Community

Catch Talent is deeply rooted in our community, which has been the heartbeat of our operations for eight plus years. Through meaningful engagement within the vibrant Charleston HR and entrepreneur circles, we've cultivated valuable connections, exchanged insights, and collaborated with numerous partners on various initiatives. This dynamic community has not only enriched our perspective but has also catalyzed our remarkable growth. The supportive network and wealth of knowledge within our community have been instrumental in shaping our journey and positioning us where we stand today. In this edition, we celebrate our community by highlighting some of the key individuals and organizations that we've had the privilege to grow alongside and support over the years.

A Few Pillars of Our HR Community

One recent example of an event we've sponsored in our community is?SocialHRCamp Charleston. It took place just last week, marking the first HR event of the year.?It provided an opportunity for networking, knowledge sharing, and fostering connections within our local HR community. We're excited to have supported this initiative, showing our dedication to empowering HR professionals not only in Charleston but also beyond.

As a woman-owned company, it's important to us that we continue to develop and support the young female professionals on our team through initiatives such as Thrive. Hosted by the?Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce,?Thrive?connects female business leaders and rising female professionals for the advancement of their careers and the region, and we're happy to have?such an amazing group to help develop our Catch team members!

DisruptHR Charleston is the main vehicle we've used to build up our HR community. Over the last eight years we've hosted this event and forged meaningful connections with our community members, clients, and candidates alike. We're now gearing up for our 13th event this spring at The American Theater, and we couldn't be more thrilled! Keep an eye out for ticket availability soon, but in the meantime, you can catch up on our latest round of speakers from the fall on?Vimeo.

Our CEO and Founder?Christina Lock, alongside President?Dan Combs, are set to take the stage at the upcoming?Palmetto SHRM?event on Tuesday, April 16. They'll be sharing insights on "A Candidate’s Journey: The Talent Attraction Lifecycle." As longstanding contributors to our community, we're thrilled to give back by sharing our expertise. Join us for an engaging discussion aimed at enhancing your understanding of talent acquisition strategies. It's our way of contributing to the growth and success of our community while empowering you to navigate the HR landscape with confidence.

Our friends at?Startup Grind Charlestongive startups the education and opportunities they need to build, grow, and scale their companies. They kicked off their inaugural journey around the same time as Catch, and it's been a pleasure to grow alongside them as they've also taken off and been successful! They're a pillar of our HR community here in Charleston, and we can't wait be present for all their sessions this year!

1 Million Cups is a fantastic gathering for local entrepreneurs to connect and showcase their startups to the Charleston?community. Each week, they gather at Frothy Beard Brewery, to share?insights and ideas over a cup of coffee. It's been incredible to witness their growth over the years, and now?they're hosting around 60 entrepreneurs on average each week! Whenever we seek to engage with fellow entrepreneurs, clients, or candidates in our community, 1 Million Cups is our go-to. It never fails to provide an exceptional crowd for networking and support!

Christina Lock, our CEO and Founder, holds a board position at?Charleston Women in Tech—a collaborative community dedicated to empowering women in technology. Together with female leaders, educators, and professionals, they work towards increasing female representation in the workforce pipeline and decision-making roles within tech companies. Their diverse programming supports women entering the tech industry and those advancing in their careers. Christina's involvement on the board has brought about significant positive change, benefiting our company, the women in our tech team, and the broader community.
