Rev’s hardware programs provide resources and support for hardware entrepreneurs at every stage of the journey.
Join Rev: Ithaca Startup Works to learn about hardware offerings, including prototyping, protofacturing, and manufacturing accelerators. The event will feature pitches from successful physical product entrepreneurs and include a keynote exploring the growth of hardware innovations over the past decade at Rev: Ithaca Startup Works, while also envisioning advancements for the next 10 years.

Application Deadline February 10th
Maribel Garcia Community Spirit Award honors students who are making remarkable, creative, specific contributions to the spirit of humanity. An award of $1,000 goes to one Cornell student each year.
Robinson-Appel Humanitarian Awards celebrate and support undergraduate projects that address community interests, problems or needs. Three projects are selected each year to receive $2,500.

This program is designed to encourage the development and growth of young entrepreneurs at Cornell through financial support, mentoring, and experiential learning as the student explores an entrepreneurial path. The program allows some degree of freedom from a financial burden so that they can devote their time to pursuing the necessary steps to get their start-up off the ground. The award is up to $6,000 per scholar per year, depending on the application, and can be used as they see fit to develop their business. If approved, the program director may renew it for two additional years. In addition, the program will make every effort to provide mentorship for the selected recipients and advise on methods to leverage the funds to raise additional financial or in-kind support. Preference is given to proposals with strong social impacts and to students enrolled in the Dyson School pursuing a concentration in Entrepreneurship who have already applied to a summer accelerator program such as Rev or Life Changing Labs. May 2025 graduates are not eligible to apply.

This program is designed for recently graduated PhDs from deep tech backgrounds who have a startup idea. It is open for domestic and international PhDs. The Runway Startup Postdoc Program is part business school, part research institution, and part startup incubator. Based at the Jacobs Technion-Cornell Institute, Runway ushers recent PhDs in digital technology fields through a paradigm shift — from an academic mindset to an entrepreneurial outlook.

Looking to make a real-world impact with a technology you’ve developed at Cornell? The Ignite Fellow for New Ventures program funds and trains Ph.D. and master’s holders with entrepreneurial outlooks to start technology ventures.
During the 12-month fellowship, fellows work in their faculty inventor’s lab for technology development and report to one of the incubator directors at the Center for Life Science Ventures, Praxis Center for Venture Development, or Runway Startup Postdocs for business development support.

Over 10 weeks, Rev’s Prototyping Hardware Accelerator guides product teams to determine if their ideas are commercially desirable, technologically feasible, and economically viable. Upon completion of the program, participants are positioned to recruit team members, bring on partners, initiate work with contract manufacturers, and pitch to investors. Teams will receive a stipend of up to $2,000 to advance their prototype.

Spend Summer 2025 Working on Your Startup!
Open to graduate student-led teams from the SC Johnson College of Business, the Johnson Summer Startup Accelerator is a 10-week summer intensive featuring hands-on entrepreneurship training, networking opportunities, and one-on-one mentorship from Entrepreneurs in Residence.
The program will begin in May and conclude with a Demo Day pitch event in August. Outside of required virtual programming on Tuesdays, a kickoff weekend in Ithaca and networking trek to New York City, participants can work on their startups and meet with mentors on their own schedule.

The NVIDIA Academic Grant Program supports academic research by providing access to NVIDIA’s cloud, hardware, and software resources. Benefits include research grants, support letters for grant applications, and opportunities for promotion and networking through NVIDIA’s channels.
To qualify, applicants must be full-time faculty at accredited institutions awarding PhDs, and projects must use NVIDIA technology.
