About Our Presentation:

The Texas Solar Energy Society has kicked off a Statewide Campaign to double the amount of rooftop solar from 300,000 rooftops to 600,000 by 2035. The focus of the Campaign is to improve distributed energy policy at the state and local jurisdictions, and increase the adoption of virtual power plants, microgrids, and net zero subdivisions.

Hear more of Pete's take on possible 2025 legislation she hopes to promote and what she is currently tracking at the Public Utilities Commission of Texas (PUCT) and the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT). She will also talk about her progress with SolarApp+ and the current status on the TXSES/TEPRI (Texas Energy Poverty Research Institute) low to moderate rooftop solar program she hopes to take statewide later this year.
