Feb-2024 Change to SAP ODP for data to cloud

SAP announced on 02-Feb-2024 for the use of ODP Data Replication API's:

RFC access for 3rd-party applications / custom development to SAP ABAP sources within the ODP is not permitted.        

SAP Customers / 3rd-party platforms including Microsoft ADF and AWS Appflow are impacted for their data integration, analytics and AI.

Why it matters now?

• Many customers on SAP ERP, CRM, APO, BW etc are already migrating to S4HANA /SAPBTP & other cloud analytics solutions (in view of 2027 deadline).
• With cloud integration becoming? important for analytics & AI, this represents a significant change.
• Clean-the-core seeks to reduce custom code on SAP & move to BTP

So, What are the options?

Here are the options (please add more in comments for SAP community to use:

1. Use SAP's official OData API [link ]
2. Use SAP certified plug-in USB4SAP with SAPBTP [li nk ]
3. Use Microsoft Azure add-on USB4SAP with ADF [link ]
