Featuring Haley Crosson

Women’s History Month is a time to honor the trailblazing American women who have helped pave the way for all women in the workplace. We all have a story to tell, and I’m happy that OGM has encouraged me to share it.

When I joined OGM, I was one of the only women at the company that was working on the U.S. product. Now, I have tons of colleagues that are women and I enjoy the sense of community that comes with that. I feel very supported working alongside my colleagues in the sports gaming industry, which is a largely male-dominated industry. One of my favorite things about OGM is the fact that we have several women who have leadership roles across our business. I’ve also had the pleasure of attending ‘Women in Gaming’ events and meet-ups across industry-wide conferences and am excited to see events like this become more frequent.

My previous job was not sports-related, and I always felt that I was missing that connection to the sports world. Sports allegiances were a big part of my upbringing and some of my favorite memories are attending New York Mets and Jets games with my family members.

My involvement in team sports began at an early age and is something that I can attribute most of my friendships to. I started playing lacrosse when I was in 2nd grade, and it eventually allowed me the opportunity to attend Johns Hopkins University. Obtaining an undergraduate degree from a top 10 American university was an achievement that I do not take lightly. Being a part of the John’s Hopkins Women’s lacrosse team helped shape the person I am today.

I hope my successes will inspire other women to reach further to achieve their goals and step out of their comfort zones to continue to break barriers in male-dominated industries.
