In December 2024, Seasons Arbutus and Seasons Wesbrook Village became our two newest communities. Both are located in Vancouver's sought-after neighbourhoods, one of Canada's most vibrant cities. They offer residents easy access to parks, local amenities, and cultural attractions, making them ideal choices for retirees seeking an independent, enriched, and active lifestyle.
Below, three leaders define their dedication to exceptional customer service, echoing our vision daily.
Danielle McQueen, Regional Director, Resident & Guest Services
Danielle started her career at Tapestry as a Server during her University days. She has been dedicated to the company for 12 years, splitting that time equally between Tapestry Arbutus Walk and Tapestry Wesbrook. She has held various positions, including Wellness Manager, Restaurant Manager, Resident Services Manager, and General Manager. Danielle is grateful for both the experience and the opportunity.??
She received her Bachelor's in Education from UBC, specializing in French and Physical Education. Danielle also previously taught students from Kindergarten to High School for the Burnaby School District before completing her Bachelor's in Kinesiology at UBC.???
An avid sports fan, she has played and coached many sports, with a passion for basketball and volleyball. Danielle became a runner and open-water swimmer during the pandemic, completing her first triathlon last year! She is excited to expand her family and is expecting her second child in March 2025.??
Born and raised in Vancouver, Danielle adores this city and the neighbourhood! "I love working with a team. Everyone has their strengths to contribute to our overall goal, in this case, making Seasons the best it can be for both our residents and staff," she shares.??

Ross Black, General Manager at Seasons Arbutus
Ross started his journey as a Resident Services Manager at Tapestry Arbutus Walk over five years ago. For three years, he created unforgettable memories with the residents and team members. Ross then became General Manager at Tapestry Wesbrook Village.
Ross is most proud of the continued impactful connections and moments he has built within these communities, from "Coffee Conversations" to Ping Pong Fridays and his undefeated record helping Wesbrook Village beat Arbutus Walk during the "Fit Feb Competitions" the past two years! These are the things that make him love coming to work every day.
Ross's experiences at Tapestry have given him a deep appreciation for each Vancouver location's unique character and charm. Reflecting on professional changes throughout his career and personal milestones like building his family, Ross is excited about the next chapter, working with "an absolutely amazing team and a building full of intelligent and accomplished residents."
Mark Lundgren, General Manager at Seasons Wesbrook Village
Mark has always been dedicated to helping others and exploring new opportunities. Over the past twenty years, he has held various service and management roles at esteemed establishments such as Fairmont Hotels, The Westin Hotel, Hotel Le Soleil, and the Pinnacle Harbourfront. Mark feels fortunate to have been hired at Tapestry Arbutus Walk as the Resident Services Manager, a role that has been both very rewarding and fulfilling for him.
Mark's early career started in education and hospitality. His passion for service led him to study Early Childhood Education and Tourism & Hospitality at Algonquin College. Mark spent five years with the Ottawa Board of Education as a Teacher's Aide for special needs children. Pursuing Media Studies & Film & Television at Capilano University allowed him to discover his passion for photography and documentary filmmaking, taking him to the picturesque island of Maui, Hawaii. There, Mark worked for an independent production company that specialized in underwater stock photography and videography.?Producing content and partnering with prestigious clients like National Geographic, Maui Ocean Center, and Hawaiian Airlines.?Mark also produced award-winning content for Maui's Visitor Channel Seven!
His adventurous spirit has allowed him to experience extensive travel across continental Canada and the US, Europe, Southeast Asia, and his favourite destination is Bali, Indonesia. An avid outdoor and water enthusiast, Mark enjoys walking, hiking, rowing, surfing, snorkeling, sailing, and, most recently, single-outrigger canoeing. He is keenly interested in adventure travel, landscape, and architectural photography and enjoys road trips, vintage cars, great food, and cinema.
