Features that we included in the FireSilx website design

Creating a website for your business is much more than designing something visually appealing. For us, website design means careful consideration of the various elements that go into how every part of your website looks. With thorough and bespoke website design, you can ensure that your website helps your business achieve its goals.

A well-designed and carefully considered website design is important for numerous reasons; including helping to keep your brand memorable, increasing credibility and visibility, improving the customer experience and generating revenue online.?

At JUMP, we always approach website design projects by combining our client's specific needs and unique values with our own expertise. From our 17 years of experience building websites across a range of sectors and industries, we strongly believe that a bespoke website is superior to a template website , offering much more flexibility in terms of appearance, integrations and functionality.?

When we design a website, we pay attention to all of the details, not just the overall look of the website. Some things might seem small, but we make sure to pay full attention to all features to create a fully bespoke website design experience.??

We recently designed and built a website for FireSilx , a business that specialises in producing flame-retardant, lifelike artificial trees, plants and foliage for a range of sectors - keeping guests, customers and businesses safe.?

Here are some of the key features we included in the website design.

Business logos

Whether it's across your social media, on your website or physical products, the use of your logo ensures that your business is instantly recognisable.

The website design stage offers an ideal opportunity to update and develop your logo, allowing it to evolve alongside your business.

With FireSilx, we updated their logo by removing the tagline which we felt distilled their brand and could be placed elsewhere in the form of text. This decision complemented the website redesign and simplified the logo's appearance whilst retaining and focusing on key elements such as the flame illustration to harmonise with their established brand.

Whether you have a pre-existing logo that needs refreshing or you’re looking for a bespoke logo design, our in-house team of designers can create something memorable and recognisable for your business.

Buttons?

Buttons exist primarily to encourage visitors to interact with your website, guiding them through the various web pages towards those desired conversions.?

For a button design to be effective, it must capture the visitors' attention, encouraging them to take a desired action, whether this be making a purchase or visiting another landing page.

The buttons on your website should be accessible, strategically placed, visible and more importantly aligned with the desired action that you want your visitors to take.?

For FireSilx, our design team created a bespoke red button design with uppercase text to contrast and stand out against the black, grey and white used throughout the site. The red reinforces the brand colour palette and the buttons are strategically incorporated throughout the website to guide visitors through the various landing pages.?

Blogs

One of the main goals of the FireSilx website was to build brand awareness whilst increasing visibility and discoverability. Blogs are a great way to approach these goals.

Within the website design, we wanted to leverage FireSilx's industry expertise whilst giving them a platform to showcase their work to a wider audience.

At JUMP, our marketing team are experts in writing Search Engine Optimised content , leveraging extensive keyword and industry research to create content that's discoverable on search engines.

The new website design enables FireSilx to produce blog content specific to their target audience, boosting organic search visibility and increasing the volume of high-quality website traffic they receive.?

Artwork and imagery?

As mentioned above, content optimised for search engines is great for increasing your organic website traffic; pair this with engaging and considered visuals and you have a recipe for success.?

On any modern website design, it’s important to include visual elements to engage your audience. When visiting a website that promotes a physical product like FireSilx, users will naturally first look at the visual elements before delving further into the written content.?

At JUMP, our design team are experts in visually communicating brands through design. On the FireSilx website, we decided to utilise design elements like bespoke icons and illustrations to help communicate their unique offering in an easily digestible way for their customers.

Animations and video

Animations and video content are a great way to engage your audience, communicate complex subjects easily and show off your business's personality.

With video content becoming ever-present online across social media, user preferences are leaning more and more towards this. It was noted in a recent study that in 2023, video content accounted for 82.5% of all web traffic , this number has been increasing year on year.?

For this reason, we always emphasise to our clients that their website design should support a range of content including animation and video, regardless of their industry. Introducing video to the site, specifically in the 'Seeing is believing' panel, users can clearly and easily see the benefits of FireSilx products compared to non-FireSilx products in a visual format.

Contact Pages?

One of the main aims of the FireSilx website design was to generate high-quality leads. For this reason, a contact page was an essential component. When a visitor lands on your contact page, their purchase intent is high. It’s therefore crucial to understand what information you need without creating something overwhelming and confusing.?

Contact pages can also be linked to a customer relationship management system (CRM), allowing a business to segment leads into various categories before creating strategic email campaigns to nurture, engage and convert these leads into loyal customers.

Menu

An everpresent component of a website design, the menu is essentially a map of your website, empowering your visitors to find exactly what they’re looking for in a single click.?

When designing your website, the structure of your menu is important, our design team work alongside your business and our website developers to strategically plan your website architecture, ensuring that the menu includes all of the most important pages.?

An important element of FireSilx’s business is the certification that comes alongside their products. The flame-retardant nature of their artificial trees, plants and foliage makes their products ideal for businesses with a high fire risk, such as those in the hospitality sector. We therefore wanted to make this element of the business apparent within the menu across all screen sizes.

Responsive design

Responsive design is an important element of website design and development that allows a website to respond to the users' device and screen size.

With the majority of website visitors now opting for mobile devices, it’s becoming a non-negotiable that your website should adapt to a range of screen sizes and resolutions.

With over 60% of website traffic coming from mobile devices , we always design our websites with a responsive approach, looking at how we can prioritise the overall user experience across a range of screen sizes.

The design for FireSilx was no different, our design and development teams worked collaboratively to consider a range of devices and screen sizes, prioritising the end user.??

Which website components are right for your business?

As previously touched upon; it’s important to avoid a one-size-fits-all approach when designing a website. Here at JUMP, we prefer the bespoke approach!

The website components that should be included within a website design largely depend on the business and its specific objectives. For example, an e-commerce website design will look and function differently from a nonprofit website .

Our design and development team are experts in producing bespoke website designs across an array of industries; from e-commerce to recruitment.?

Whether your business is looking for a brand-new website or a complete redesign, we’d love to team up! Get in touch today!?
