Developing a mission and vision is essential for ensuring that your organization stays on track toward long-term success.

When I became the CEO of a data science company, I knew it was important to align our leadership team with a shared vision. To do this, ?? ???????????????? ?????? ???????????? ???????????????????? ???????? ?????? ?? ?????????????????????????? ?????????????????????????? ??????????????. We started with a few fun riddles to break the ice, stimulate creative thinking, and get our juices flowing. Then, I asked the team to describe the work we do and the purpose behind it.

Next, I prompted them to describe where they’d like our company to be in a year, and what kind of impact we’d like to have. Finally, I asked them to reflect on the types of customers we wanted to support and why.

These questions sparked an excellent discussion, ???????????????????? ???????? ?? ??????????, ?????????????? ?????????????? ?????? ???????????? ???????? ?????????????????? ???????? ???????????????? ???? ?????? ????????. As we announced our direction, mission, and vision to the broader company, the ???????????????????? ???????? ???????????????? ???? ?????? ?????????????? because they each played a direct role in shaping the message.
