Feather, Tap, Bus

Feather, Tap, Bus

I truly believe the universe, (what some call God, source, Allah, Krishna or inner-self) is here to guide you along the path of your greatest good. It wants only happiness and joy for your life.

And, when you are out of alignment with your truest self, the universe begins to gently brush you with a feather. This might come in the form of random numbers, dreams, thoughts or gentle nudges. Ideas might come and continue to flow to you. Generally, if you are paying attention, you can course correct and find yourself moving with ease along the path of least resistance.

If you are a little hardheaded and don't feel the gentle brush of the feather, the universe will become a little more "in your face" with taps. Some soft, some a little harder (like a stern warning from your mother.) "Hey you, pay attention! What are you doing and why? That is not your path. Come this way!" it will whisper to you. It may allow drama into your life or could have you tripping up (physically and literally). Pay attention to these taps. Begin to meditate and look inside. The answers are screaming at you and you are blocking them with busyness, fear and doubt. Quiet your mind and allow the path to unfold before you. Trust the process.

You have filled your life with hopes and dreams. You have experienced contrast that has allowed you to pinpoint exactly what you do and do not want in your life. The universe has gathered up all your preferences and is working on your behalf. You are stubborn though and think you always know best. So, you continue miles and miles in the wrong direction, ignoring feathers and taps along the way. This is when the universe pulls the rug out from under you and smashes you with a bus. It's hard and painful. It stops you immediately in your tracks. It crushes you from the weight. But, it is ALWAYS in your best interest. It allows you the opportunity to course correct and to align with your true calling. Buses come in the form of losing your job (that you hated anyway!), ending a relationship (that you were settling for) or numerous other events that pulled you away from your truest self.

The only way I know how to feel the feathers is to meditate daily. Twenty minutes every day. Not only do you deserve this time for yourself but it allows you to quiet your thoughts and opens you up to hear what your inner self is saying to you. You are worthy of everything beautiful and glorious. Everything you could ever want is already yours. You just need to step aside, quiet your mind and allow resistance to float away.

May you feel the brush of the feather today and may you know that greatness is your birthright.

Much love,

Michelle

I've been meditating every morning for about 20 mins for the past 4 years. Curious - have you read any book lately that'd have a great impact on you? Michelle Strong
