Feast Of UnLeaven Bread

"Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:" - 1 Corinthians 5:7

The Feast of UnLeaven Bread follows Passover which are memorials bringing us to the remembrance of God's plan for us. Unleavened bread is a substance typically yeast that is added to dough to ferment and make it rise. It came forth out of the land of Egypt where Israel and a mix multitude left in hast before the leaven in their bread could rise. "Thou shalt eat no leavened bread with it; seven days shalt thou eat unleavened bread therewith, even the bread of affliction; for thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt in haste:" - Deuteronomy 16:3

Passover cleansed you of sin. Leaven bread represents sin. Eating unleavened bread for seven days is a reminder to keep yourself sin free. This is the time to clean your life up. God request we remove the leaven from our house and sin from our life. What is sin, the transgression of the law? What is the law? God's Commandments. "Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law." - 1 John 3:4

The Feast of Unleavened Bread is in remembrance of all the sins we have committed throughout the year. Each day you eat unleavened bread it's an exercise in obedience. Remember God is watching you and everything you do. Many things we do we think it's not sinful. You are a thief when you lie or manipulate the truth for financial or material gain. When you gossip, telling lies about others you are a thief, stealing their joy while causing them undo suffering. If you think you have never offended another at some point in your life, look in the mirror - read God's commandments as a reminder? "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God;" - Romans 3:23

"These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood. An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief. A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren." - Proverbs 6:16-19

Religious leaders around the globe will not be gathering their congregation in church due to the coronavirus. They're keeping their parishioners safe by holding services via live screaming, television or on the internet. You can worship God and love thy neighbor by keeping thy distance. How foolish are they who believe you can only worship sitting in church. God is everywhere; in you, with you everywhere you go. He is in your heart, in your soul he is always with you as long as you keep the faith. Almighty God does not dwell in a church of brick and mortar. He resides in Heaven above watching over all who believe.

"Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth."- 1 Corinthians 5:8
