Fear Ye The Lord
Greetings in The Mighty Name of Jesus, The Christ!!!
“God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all [them that are] about him.”
Psalm 89:7
Brothers and Sisters, WHERE is The Fear Of God? For many of you have been taught Not To Fear, but we, who are the Blood Bought, need to Fear God. Not that we Fear His Judgment, for it we have Made Jesus Savior and Lord then we do not need to Fear Judgment. But we do need to Fear God, knowing that All Things are Under His Power and His Authority and that He Is Able to Destroy both Body, Soul and All Creation!
“27 What I tell you in darkness, [that] speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, [that] preach ye upon the housetops. 28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. 29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. 30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.”
Matthew 10:27-31
If we, The Blood Bought, do not have Reverence, do not have Fear of God, then we do Not Understand The Price that Jesus Paid. I would even go as far to say…do you have a Real Relationship with Jesus? God put in me His Fear In Reverence towards Him and In Him.
If God, who Saved me from His Judgment, says He Is Holy and that I am to be Holy and I Walk Not, then should I not Fear Him who Sits Upon The Throne Of Judgment? There is a misconception among many of you, that believe “…Once Saved, Always Saved…”, or “…If we Believe, then We Are Free From Judgment…”, or “…God Loves me and only Good will come to me…”. We need to Understand that Satan does not want you to Fear God, but treat Him as a “Good Fella” syndrome, even though Satan Fears God. To those who have a Relationship with Jesus, it means they have Drawn Close to Him, by Prayer, by Study and above all things, Walking In Obedience!
“Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.”
James 2:19
“And Samuel said, Hath the LORD [as great] delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey [is] better than sacrifice, [and] to hearken than the fat of rams.”
1 Samuel 15:22
“11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. 14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.”
1 Corinthians 3:11-15
Brothers and Sisters, Humble yourselves, for Pride goes before The Fall! You must Understand that Reverence and Fear Walk Hand-n-Hand. We Reverence God Knowing Who He Is, What He Has Done, What He Could Do!!! You Pray and say in “…The Fathers Name…”, or “…Your Name…” or perhaps using…No Reference At All…, but Jesus said, not man, not Satan and not even The Father Of Heaven, but Jesus said, that NO ONE GOES TO THE FATHER…EXCEPT BY and THROUGH ME!!!
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
John 14:6
But yet it is Jesus who has been given All Power and All Authority dealing with Your Salvation and YOU Fear Him Not, nor give Him Reverence!
Now, how do we Reverence With Fear? We must keep in mind that Everything that We Do and Say, and even Think, will be Judged By Jesus and His Judgment is By The Holiness Of The Father!!!
“36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. 37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.”
Matthew 12:36-37
The “Idle Word” is in both Thought and Speech. If we are not thinking on the Things that Concern Jesus, that is, He Is Lord Of My Life and The Things That Touch My Life, then what are your Thoughts…Godly or Not?
Brothers and Sisters, Do you Fear God In Love? Jesus said, that IF you Love me, then, YOU WILL KEEP MY, MY, MY COMANDMENTS…no I did not stutter. Jesus knows us, Loves us, because we are to be Building a Relationship With Him, BY Understanding Who Jesus Is, What Jesus Has Done on Our Behalf!
I Fear Jesus Because HE LOVED ME FIRST, even though MY SIN was worthy of Eternal Punishment!!! Every morning I lay prostrate on the floor before a Holy and Just God and Giving Him Control of my Life, every waking minute, from the time my Eyes open, until they are about to close! My Thoughts are on What Jesus Wants, not how I can get something from Him!
Brothers and Sisters You Must Understand, that the Sacrifice that Jesus Gave and Is Giving, was not for you to Live your Life however you want to, but it was to Cleanse Us From Our Sins that Separated us, so that we can have a Relationship With The Father! Jesus’ Price was a Great Suffering for You To Be Holy!!!
Now, there are those who would scoff at this, saying they do not need to Fear, because they are Saved, but I tell you that if you do not Humble Yourself, giving Reverence that you were Saved by a Holy God, then you do Not Understand the Price Of Your Salvation! I am not to Fear those things in this World, not Man, not Beast and not Satan, but I am to Fear God! Consider these Scriptures…
“3 Ye shall fear every man his mother, and his father, and keep my sabbaths: I [am] the LORD your God. ... 14 Thou shalt not curse the deaf, nor put a stumblingblock before the blind, but shalt fear thy God: I [am] the LORD. ... 32 Thou shalt rise up before the hoary head, and honour the face of the old man, and fear thy God: I [am] the LORD.”
Leviticus 19:3, 14, 32
“17 Ye shall not therefore oppress one another; but thou shalt fear thy God: for I [am] the LORD your God. ... 36 Take thou no usury of him, or increase: but fear thy God; that thy brother may live with thee. ... 43 Thou shalt not rule over him with rigour; but shalt fear thy God.”
Leviticus 25:17, 36, 43
The Fear that is Used Here means the following: to fear, revere, be afraid; to stand in awe of, be awed; reverence, honor, respect; to be fearful, be dreadful, be feared; to cause astonishment and awe, be held in awe; to inspire reverence or godly fear or awe; to make afraid, terrify
Scriptures tell us what a Fearful Thing to fall into the Hands Of God!
“30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance [belongeth] unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. 31 [It is] a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”
Hebrews 10:30-31
So, then, how can you know if you or someone else is Walking In The Fear Of God? If you or them Abide In The Living Word Of God. When you or them are Moved By The Spirit by Giving Reverence, that, when God Moves In You or Them All Other Things are Cast Aside and Being Humbled At The Presence Of God!
When you Sing, are you singing just to sing, to enjoy the music, the words or are you Singing To A Just and Holy God? When you take the Sacraments, are you just eating bread and drinking grapes or are you Truly giving Reverence to Jesus who took your place in punishment? Do you Reverence the Five Fold as Appointed By Jesus, that they are Holy and Just Men or are they just men who are doing a task? Do you Walk in Fear of those whom Our God has sent them to be examples for, or do you disregard their council and live however you choose? The Fear Of The Lord takes many forms but all lead to the same conclusion, that is, We, who are Blood Bought, Serve a Holy God and He Demands All Attention, All Praise, All Obedience In Love!!!
The Scriptures tells us that we are to be Watchful Of Each Other, Helping Each Other, not the heathen in this case so that the World will know We Are The Disciples Of Jesus, whom Is The Christ Of The World!!!
“Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.”
Ephesians 5:21
“34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 35 By this shall all [men] know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”
John 13:34-35
Fear Of God, is Required, Demanded by The Father, not of this World or the things in it, but, Whom Our God Is! If The Word tells me to Not Do something and I do it…is there any Fear? Do I do the Things That God Says Because I Fear Him Because He Is God or do you do them because of going through the motions of habit or false doctrine?
Examine your Life, if there is No Fear, then you really need to Examine Why, because if God says to Fear Him and you do not, then there is a problem within you that needs to be corrected. Usually, but not always, it is Pride. Satan had Pride having no Fear of God, thinking he could corrupt, take over God’s Position, doing things his way and not Gods way, which made him fall and was removed from God’s Presence, kicked out of Heaven. Having No Fear, brings Disobedience, a Separation between you and God!
