Fear or Faith, which do you operate from.
It is quite common in the personal development world to hear people talking about eliminating and overcoming fear. Perhaps you have even personally experienced the self-imposed setbacks that can be created when we allow fear to play a disproportionate role in directing our lives.
It is important to note, however, that not all fear is bad. As a matter of fact, having healthy amounts of fear is part of what has kept us alive as a species and has already motivated you to do many amazing things.
The key is in recognizing that fear's role is not to serve as the primary leader/director in our lives, but rather as an advisor. Fear's role is to point out any potential harms that could come our way. It is our job then to mitigate those potential risks as we continue moving forward.
In short, we want fear to serve us by helping us be even more prepared for life, rather than make us run from it.
The question, up until now do you feel like you have been more reactive to life? [operating more out of fear]
Or do you typically walk in faith? [using fear as an advisor to make you aware of potential risks along the way]
As you look at situations in your current life, do you feel you are making your decisions from fear or in faith?
As you look at the next three months ahead of you, what decisions would you make differently if you had complete faith things will work out?
Sometimes, it is helpful to stop every once in a while and observe if there are any areas in our lives we are unconsciously reacting out of fear.
If you haven't done this lately, I invite you to take 10 minutes right now and just ask yourself where in your life (if anywhere) are you operating from fear? And if you were to take a lesson from that wisdom (the fear) and shift to begin to operate from faith, how would you approach things differently? As you do this, you may find that the answers you receive will lead you to alignment with your heart's true desire.
