No Fear
God Morning Everyone,
One of my favorite Pastors is Creflo Dollar of World Changers Church in Atlanta, GA. Here is a partial quote from a devotional he wrote, I feel it goes right to the heart of an emotion we all have to contend with. "Fear is an emotion caused by the belief that something or someone poses a threat to us.....We’re not ordinary people, but children of God, Himself. When we truly believe this, fear loses its grip on us.....Satan uses fear as a weapon to disrupt our faith. He wants us to question and doubt everything God says to us.....We don’t have to tolerate fear. Living in God’s will for our lives keeps us safe from it. The courage we receive from Him isn’t due to the absence of fear, but the ability to move past it. This is what a victorious life is all about."
Here are a few passages (there are 365+ from the Word of God on this subject) I believe the Lord would remind us of today. 2 Timothy 1:7 (AMP) says; "That is why I would remind you to stir up (rekindle the embers of, fan the flame of, and keep burning) the [gracious] gift of God, [the inner fire] that is in you by means of the laying on of my hands [with those of the elders at your ordination]. 7 For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control." The NKJV says "spirit of fear". IT IS A SPIRIT FROM THE ENEMY!!!! Timothy was imparted a gift of God with an ordination service. GOOD NEWS!!! You and I can be ordained by the Precious Holy Spirit into the ministry God has for us, with the Touch of God on our individual lives.
Philippians 1:28-29 (NLT) says; "Don’t be intimidated in any way by your enemies. This will be a sign to them that they are going to be destroyed, but that you are going to be saved, even by God himself. 29 For you have been given not only the privilege of trusting in Christ but also the privilege of suffering for him." It doesn't matter what comes our way, sickness, lack, impending doom, COVID, threats of any government against us, OUR GOD IS GREATER THAN ALL THAT. He will deliver us from anything and everything that comes against us at any time.
Psalms 118:5-6 (TPT) says; "Out of my deep anguish and pain I prayed, and God, you helped me as a father. You came to my rescue and broke open the way into a beautiful and broad place. 6 Now I know, Lord, that you are for me, and I will never fear what man can do to me."
John 14:27 (AMP) says; "Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives, do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]"
The opposite of fear is faith. Reading the Word of God and praising Him for His faithfulness, is the perfect antidote for fear of any form or fashion. Here's a quote from FDR; "the only thing to fear is fear itself. With all the Word has to say about a NO FEAR, that's a perfect quote. I'm not into the "what if" attitude and even words, from many people. This is actually from the devil himself. In the Garden of Eden he asked Eve; "has God said?". This is definitely a "what if". He put doubt, and eventually fear, into Adam and Eve's hearts.
My encouragement to you, today, is simply this. When the enemy attempts to put doubt and eventually "cringing and fawning fear", declare THE WORD OF GOD over any and every opportunity to fear. Jesse Duplantis says it this way; "I've had many opportunities to fear, I just didn't take them":))))))) As you DO NOT take the opportunity, begin to praise the Lord for His faithfulness, His Word, His victory over death, Hell, and the grave, just "HAVING DONE ALL TO STAND" Ephesians 6:13 Then PRAISE THE LORD. I've included a new song to me about this. Consider putting it on and march towards certain victory over whatever is coming against you today.
