Fear: Agent Provocateur

Fear is the illusion of a future that does not exist; from which power is drawn, gained, and abused.? This slithering agent is a time traveler extraordinaire, dwelling within us in the present, yet finding its influence in the future, a space and time which has yet to manifest.?

The havoc heaped upon us by Fear is vast and paralyzing.? It detours us from our purpose, our dreams, our authentic self.? We avoid living honestly out of fear of what others might say or think. We hide away, afraid of the judgement and opinions that will surely assail us. The ideas or dreams that fill us with inspiration and passion are crushed beneath the heel of Fear.?

Fear is an agent of destruction.? It is the destroyer of dreams, a thief of your passions.? Fear is the agent that chains us to the wall of inaction.? We are tortured with the untruths of a future that is not real and does not exist.? Fear comes to us in the dark hours of early morning, bringing with it the nightmares of failure, ridicule, and rejection.? This is the parent of Insecurity, Worry, and Self-doubt. All of this is done by convincing you that the future is going to be an unmitigated disaster, filled with pain and disappointment, loss and failure. All of Fear’s power comes from illusion.? It is derived from the ability to convince us that it is better to do nothing, to have the illusion of security, than to move forward.?

This can all be overwhelming but I tell you now that the antidote, the cure, is already within you.? It is called Courage. This has always been with you. Courage rides with its amigos Will and Determination. When we finally acknowledge, and grab hold of our Courage, Fear has no choice but to run and hide; taking its illusions with it.? The shadows cast from the influence of Fear are banished by the light of your Courage. Will and Determination see you through. ??

To move forward and achieve our dreams we must banish our Fear.? It is truly an agent of the future: an Agent Provocateur. Fear is the ultimate manipulator who sells us a future that is dismal at best.? So, take a deep breath, stay in the moment, and be present.? Feel Courage surge through you. Lean on Will-power and Determination. Let their light radiate from within, banishing hesitation and doubt. Push fear from your heart and seize your dreams. Allow the light of your courage to inspire those around you. This is your story and you were born to be the hero; triumphing in the face of all adversity.?
