FDA's Trip to the UK: Day Two
Yesterday, FDA Commissioner Dr. Robert M. Califf traveled to Oxford University to deliver a lecture to student and faculty as part of the Richard Doll Seminars in Public Health and Epidemiology. The series is hosted by the Nuffield Department of Population Health in Medical Sciences Division at Oxford and occurs every Tuesday during the school year.
Dr. Califf’s lecture was entitled “The Ongoing Effort to Generate the Evidence Needed to Inform Decisions about Health and Health Care – a U.S. Perspective.”
Richard Doll was a British physician and a pioneer in research linking smoking to such health problems as lung cancer and heart disease.
