No F*cking Idea

No F*cking Idea

Yeah, I said it. It's true. So many of us {myself included} are judging people without knowing their story. People carry around pain, stress and trauma, and we judge them. For whatever reason, they do something that doesn't sit right with us, and we judge. That's fucked up!?

You know that girl who has that bad reputation? Did you ever ask yourself why? More importantly, have you ever showed her kindness? I believe we all are doing the best we can. But things change us. Bad things happen, someone wrongs us or perhaps we are living with a disease. On the outside, we may look like nothing is wrong. On the inside, there is a storm raging and we are trying just to hold it together. And yet, there is always this one mother fucker sitting on the corner judging us.?

It's time to change the cycle. We can stop judging. We can encourage others not to jump on the bandwagon when others talk shit about another. Some of the most amazing people I know, come from the most dysfunctional, fucked-up backgrounds. That dysfunction often creates a unique point of view. Let us celebrate that they didn't give up.?And despite their quirky personality, there lies a story of survival and great courage. Yet we put those people in a box, and punish then for being different. We are better than that. We should be better than that.?

Maybe if we try and understand, people would make healthier choices.?

So what I am truly saying is, you have no fucking idea why someone does the things they do. Should they be held accountable for any bad behavior? Of course. But we break the cycle of bad behavior by trying to understand it. What caused it. And what can we do to help prevent it in the future. Recidivism is a real thing. If we just offer a little encouragement. Maybe if we try and understand, people would make healthier choices.?

This is a call to action. Trust that you have been forgiven more times than you probably deserve. I know I have. And if you haven't, you know exactly how it feels. Let's get this turned around and give someone a chance. Be the first in line to help someone break the generational curse. You may not change the world. But you just may in fact change it for one person. And trust me. That is enough.?
