The FBI’s “Humble” Arrests: Beyond Jenna Ryan

When I started my law enforcement career in the Nineteen Eighties in Baltimore, my fellow cops and I had a name for BS arrests: “a humble.”

A patrolman made a “humble” if he locked up a smoke hound (aka a bum) for vagrancy or a kid from the projects for stealing a hot dog from the 7-11 store. Sometimes cops did this just to get court overtime. And, sometimes just out of meanness. Humbles were vilified by good cops at the time.

Now, the FBI seems to be involved in serial, super humbles. I am ashamed of the FBI.?There are real crimes out there needing non-partisan and ethical work and they don’t have the fidelity, bravery, or integrity to say no to political pressure and then for them to engage in this nonsense of making a disturbance into an all hands on deck response.?They should have declined to investigate misdemeanors in a matter in which the Capitol Police?and?DC?Metro have the authority and ability to handle.?In any other matter their conduct would amount to a violation of civil rights under color of law and this defendant was targeted for her spoken words and treated differently and more severely that actual violent felons.?

Take a look at the Capitol “Insurrection” investigation arrests and charges filed.?This is nonsense.?For an example, the?agent’s affidavit?in the higher-profile case of Jenna Ryan, a Texas real estate broker and Internet influencer, is telling.??It accused Ms. Ryan of “knowingly entering or remaining in restricted building or grounds without lawful authority.”?It?also accused?her?of?“disorderly conduct on the Capitol grounds.”??Wow. The FBI for this??She basically trespassed.??A Humble for sure.

However,?the more disturbing part of this story is that fact that her First Amendment protected?speech as contained in the?FBI Agent’s affidavit,?as well as her post arrest protected speech (essentially?that nothing would result in jail time)?was?used against her and ‘justified’ her getting her 60 days in jail.?This is a prime example of?why the corrupt press and the?Left are engaged in a war dance over this case showing their power and prowess in silencing another?“right wing extremist.”??But, for the FBI and the judicial system to go along lock-step with this madness is most concerning. We are mere breaths away from the death of our freedoms in America. The ones supposed to be protecting these rights, DOJ and the Judiciary, have become the Left’s henchman.

Moreover, Jenna Ryan’s?actions (as accounted for in the affidavit) are?nothing?when compared to the?Leftists’ attack on the federal courthouse in Portland and their aggravated assaults on federal LEOsthroughout the BLM and Antifa riots throughout the Republic.?Nary a word about any of them being arrested, much less convicted for their violent and egregious felonies that undermine our system of justice.

Spending millions of dollars and countless manhours in order to effect misdemeanor trespass arrests that are properly in the jurisdiction of local cops is absurd on its face. But, it is more troubling when one sees that it fits into a recent pattern at the FBI of conducting politicized investigations, to wit: Lieutenant General Flynn; the Donald Trump contrived (with DOJ complicity) Russia hoax; kicking down the doors?of former and current employees of Project Veritas?investigating the alleged diary belonging to Joe Biden’s oldest daughter, Ashley; and,?investigating parents and PTAs for daring to question the appropriateness of Critical Race Theory.?

And, in the Trump "Russiagate" hoax, for over three years?the FBI, including the director, knew?a key?analyst lied to the FBI and was?directly?involved with a?Democrat/Clinton operative in perpetrating a fraud that Trump colluded with Russia.?The FBI did nothing and the?inaction was for?purely?political reasons.?They knew they had filed false pleadings with the FISA court and the FBI covered that up because they were part of the effort to hand-cuff President Trump.

The?Leftists are gathering scalps in order to intimidate and to get Americans to give up their freedoms and become part of the new order.?Should responsible Republicans ever wrestle control of our corrupt criminal justice system?from the savages of the Left, I hope they go after the real treason and felonies underway and that those responsible are tried, convicted, imprisoned and where appropriate executed.??Cleaning house at the FBI is a good place to start.??Bring in a Director with zero political ties, preferably an old school agent who knows criminal investigations rather than the inside of Washington’s political scene.?
