FB loves its ban hammer…?

FB loves its ban hammer…

Here is how you can steer clear of it.

Testing too many variables or going against FB’s guidelines will eventually have your ad account deleted. Here are seven things 7 things you should avoid.

1. Unrealistic monetary claims or "get rich quick" promises.

“So and so made X in this many months” is a one-way road to bansville. Remove the time frame and keep it more general, don't set misleading expectations. E.g “If you do X you get that”.

2. You advertised something prohibited, restricted, or regulated. An example would be CBD, any mention of that is trouble. Have it buried deep within images or really deep within the product page if it’s that important.

3. Objectionable or "adult" content. Nudity is a no, show minimal skin on your ad creatives. This is a big error that health and fitness brands make.

4. Silly mistakes: typos, emoji overkill, running ads to dead pages. Check typos and download grammarly. Also, make sure your site is operating properly and consistently.

5. Not complying with Facebook's community standards. There’s a list of criteria that FB checks against your ads. Make sure you read through their community standards.

6. Targeting personal attributes. Avoid assertions about personal attributes in your ad copy. E.g “Are you XX”, “other estate agents”.

7. Message mismatch from ad to a landing page. Have total congruence between the ad and the landing page.

It’s crucial to get a solid understanding of FB’s ad policy. Getting an account back is a lengthy and frustrating task and it's best to be safe than sorry.
