Fayette Schools: Junior Rotarians Serving in October and November
During each school year, Rotary International’s Somerville Club invites selects students to attend their weekly luncheon meetings. The students are there to learn from local business and community leaders about the Rotary program and how it helps both the local and international communities. The Junior Rotarians for October and November are Kelvin Finnie and Ashley Ellis.
Kelvin is a senior at Fayette-Ware High School and is the son of Kelvin Finnie Sr and Felisha Wright. With a current GPA of 4.1, Kelvin takes honors courses, dual enrollment History, was a member of the Academic Decathlon team in 9th and 10th grade, and is on the honor roll. Kelvin is also an active member of the baseball team where he plays right field and enjoys being a member of the Lacrosse Club at Fayette-Ware. Upon graduation, Kelvin plans to enroll in college and study film.
Ashley is a senior at Fayette-Ware and is the daughter of Michael and Brandy Ellis. Ashley has represented the Lady Wildcats in softball for her entire high school career. With a GPA of 3.21, Ashley takes honors English, is a member of the ACT 21+ Club, Rotary Interact Club, and takes AP Health Science. She enjoys attending Faith Church in Somerville and Holly Springs MotorSports Race Track. After high school, Ashley plans to attend Baptist School of Nursing and become a trauma nurse.
