Favoritism and Ignorance
No one on my job talks about the Israel-Hamas War. They, mostly people of color, said nothing about George Floyd. Management acts like there is nothing except this job.
People live in their bubbles. Maybe they mention a sports team they like when they win. It is as one dimensional as talking about how much their job sucks on their phone.
If you have a phone and can call anyone in the world why talk to the same people about the same things? Management is not the only group who is lackadaisical. The pendulum seems to be swinging towards undesirables. Some man said they needed to replace me "In this Bitch".
If you are offended reading this, keep in mind I heard this pejorative in my place of employment. I had to inform a supervisor who tolerates certain people more than she should. Another employee overheard my description of an employee away from his detail making references like Katt Williams.
This person acted like I was talking about a comedy show I watched. Nosy people should mind their business. This guy runs to the Union any time someone says something remotely distasteful about him. He revels in the misery of others.
No one at work described the only podcast worth listening to this week. I did not listen to the entire two hours and forty five minutes. It will resonate longer than No Time To Die.
The next Bond film should be two hours and change. Another story, another article. After mentioning that people on LinkedIn who suggest others "Steal" their ideas is white privilege, Katt Williams called out comedians who have stolen jokes.
Carlos Mencia derailed what was becoming a successful career by stealing concepts from Joe Rogan. I have never been plagiarized on this site. I would like to see someone try. Why Steve Harvey needs to farm out ideas from Mark Curry- he is strong at improvisation.

That is what makes his Family Feud enjoyable. Every host between Richard Dawson and Steve Harvey was dull. They played the game and never talked about anything interesting.
Cedric the Entertainer was called out for stealing jokes. I almost want to search Netflix and Tubi to see if his specials are available. Allegedly they are not. Who the heck thinks about Tubi?
I thought that was the site with ten minute videos that imploded as quickly as it started. Nothing ages worse than technology. New Features on LinkedIn fall away. I am upset that it is harder to mute second degree connections.
That used to be available when the undesirable one posted and a First Degree connection liked or commented. I don't want to mute or unfollow my connection who made friends with someone who never responds to me.
That has nothing to do with a long conversation about stand up comedy. Katt Williams tours with up and coming comedians giving them a chance to be heard. I had not heard of Luenell without him. Everyone deserves a chance.
Joe Flaherty discovered many performers at Second City, worked well with them and his work was overshadowed by performers who went on to SCTV (he was there as well) or the original Saturday Night Live. It is important to send the elevator back down to give someone else opportunities.
Maybe I should appear on Club Shay Shay. Many who host podcasts ignore me and I never asked to appear on their shows. I have done one podcast ever. No one heard it and it is one of the great lost conversations of all time.
As the next week begins and the old get older at work- it will be my responsibility to find new people who have better ideas. If they only say "This place sucks" and do nothing to make the process better- they probably should leave. Is the insurance worth wasting years of your life? The pay certainly isn't.

10 个月HI Thomas, fun read. Btw - Cedric has a comedy show streaming on Max. Also, if you are interested in what jokes he stole, you can find a ton of comparison videos on YouTube.
